"I’ve been taking notes"— Cheryl Hines will be writing a book about the drama surrounding husband RFK Jr's alleged affair
Cheryl Hines revealed how she's going to deal with the rumors about what she and her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have dealt with throughout their marriage, amid the latter's recent alleged s*xting scandal.
RFK Jr. is currently facing allegations that he cheated on Hines with political reporter Olivia Nuzzi. The journalist claimed to New York magazine, where she works as their Washington Correspondent, in September that they had "engaged in a personal relationship."
Hines has kept her silence amid the scandal, but in a rare interview with US Weekly on October 19, 2024, she opened up about sharing her views of the scandal in her marriage in an upcoming book. She said:
"Lots of emotions with rumors! But, it will be all in my book. I'm writing a book. I've been taking notes—serious notes!"
Meanwhile, Kennedy's spokesperson has shut down Nuzzi's cheating scandal with a statement on The Post. Per the statement, RFK Jr. and Olivia Nuzzi only met once in his life, and it was during the interview Nuzzi requested, which "yielded a hit piece."
As for RFK Jr., he's been married to Cheryl Hines since 2014, but his affairs during his previous marriages to Emily Ruth Black and Mary Richardson have been documented. He reportedly had secret s*x diaries he used to keep track of his affairs, which allegedly had 37 names of different women.
Cheryl Hines is focused on having a lot of fun with her family amid RFK Jr's cheating rumors
Taking serious notes for her book aside, Cheryl Hines said that her focus right now is not on the drama. Instead, she's putting her time and effort into having a lot of fun with her and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s blended family. Talking about their family, she told US Weekly:
"They're fun. I mean, if I had a boring family it would be tough. And I think just trying to embrace the unknown and instead of fighting against it, is sort of trying to embrace it and just say yes to whatever comes your way."
She said she's letting things flow, finding those "little moments," and not taking anything too seriously despite finding herself in very serious situations.
She recently celebrated her 59th birthday with her daughter Catherine and RFK Jr.'s daughter Kyra. The Curb Your Enthusiasm actress shared a snap of the celebration in her Instagram Story last Saturday, with the caption "Me and my girls."
Besides the fun in her family life, Cheryl Hines also embraced the fun during the Groundlings 50th Anniversary celebration on October 19. The improv alum recalled her favorite memories at the Groundlings, saying:
"I think it was all in the dressing room, like the chaos in the dressing room. You hear the music and you know you're supposed to be on stage and you're trying to get your wig on and you're trying to remember your lines and everybody's sort of in this controlled chaos together."
Cheryl Hines remembers her time at the troupe with much fondness, saying that it has always appeared as a "magical show" for her. She also expressed happiness in watching the people she's worked with there achieve "amazing achievements."
As for the drama that follows her marriage to RFK Jr., Hines told US Weekly that since the start of their relationship, she's learned how to roll with life's curveballs. They put on a united front while stepping out on beach day in Cape Cod on October 12. The couple was photographed holding hands amid his recent scandal.
