"Is this the same guy creepily obsessed with Hailee Steinfeld?"— Internet calls out Shameik Moore in wake of Laura Harrier TikTok video
Miles Morales’ Spider-man actor Shameik Moore is facing backlash for posting a TikTok video featuring Laura Harrier, which the actress deemed misleading. Laura, who starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Tom Holland’s romantic interest Liz Allan, is currently engaged to Sam Jarou.
Shameik posted the video around December 16. He also seemingly posted the same clip on X, captioning it "coming soon" with a musical note emoji, but later deleted it. However, Laura Harrier seemingly addressed Shameik's TikTok post on Friday, informing fans that the clip was still there despite asking the actor to take it down.
Fans quickly began calling out the actor. Some referenced Shameik's cryptic X post from November 30, the same day his Spider-Verse co-star Hailee Steinfeld announced her engagement to Josh Allen. One Reddit user commented in the r/Fauxmoi community, which reposted Laura's video:

Some fans noted that they have hardly witnessed Laura Harrier's media presence since she starred in the first installment of Tom Holland's Spider-Man film. They stressed that Shameik's action must have been really creepy to have the actress come public again.

Laura Harrier seemingly calls Shameik Moore a "weirdo"
Laura Harrier took to TikTok on December 20 to address Shameik Moore's video. The actress told viewers she is a private person who prefers not to discuss her relationships publicly. She added that this was likely the first time she had directly addressed an audience on TikTok.
Without mentioning Shameik Moore's name, Laura stated that an actor was tagging her in some videos, leading fans to speculate about unwanted things. She called it "annoying" and showed her ring finger to the viewers, stressing, “I’m literally engaged.”
Laura said she was aware of the common practice of celebrities pulling stunts for publicity and attention. A friend of the actress sent her the video in question, inquiring if Laura was aware of it. The 34-year-old explained that the clip was from a party a year ago when someone asked her and the actor to take photos together. She assumed someone must have filmed it as well.
Laura wondered why the actor would post the video now of all times, adding that they were not close. She claimed she had reached out to the actor, asking him to take down the video. She also informed him about her engagement and disapproved of the video insinuating something was going on between them.
Laura Harrier said:
"It's still up, which is f***ing weird. You're a f***ing weirdo. I'm sorry. You're a f***ing weirdo, and I'm f***ing annoyed."
She playfully said her publicist might not approve of her discussing the matter on TikTok instead of letting it go. However, she stated it was disrespectful to her relationship with her fiancé. She added:
"I don't like feeling disrespect to myself when I ask somebody to take something down that you're using my image to get attention with, and not doing it. So yeah, it's weird."
As of now, Shameik Moore has not yet addressed Laura's video.
