“Jojo siwa is missing?”: Netizens speculate singer has gone missing after mocking Thank You Beyoncé TikTok trend

Singer and dancer JoJo Siwa is trending across social media as her fans claim the 21-year-old has gone missing after hopping onto the "Thank You, Beyoncé" trend. The speculations came after Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, caught the interest of internet sleuths for their alleged association with Sean "Diddy" Combs. The rapper is currently facing multiple counts of s*x trafficking, s*xual assault, and drug-related charges.

Several internet users speculated that JoJo Siwa was missing, as many wondered why the former Dance Moms star seemingly mentioned Beyonce at the Industry Dance Awards on October 8, 2024. The speculations and questions began after JoJo joked about having to thank Beyoncé for the music the former had created.

A TikTok user, johnnyb17_, was one of the first few people to conspire about Siwa going missing. They wrote in a video that JoJo got "her breath taken away."

“Jojo really did get her breathe taken away now that she’s missing and Beyoncé probably killed her," johnnyb17_ alleged.

Another TikToker user, 5921149041786, also made similar allegations on the video-sharing platform. Since then, several netizens have taken to X to claim that the Dance Moms alum has gone missing, others wondered if she had forgotten to thank Beyoncé.

Some netizens also said that "bad psychosis-tok" was "nuts," as others stated that the singer wasn't missing but was "just hibernating for winter."

“TikTok saying Beyoncé kidnapped jojo siwa I’m crying so bad psychosis tok is nuts,” a platform user said.
“Jojo SIWA IS MISSING,” a netizen said.
“I kinda think jojo siwa is just hibernating for winter and not missing,” an X user said.
“So rumor is that jojo Siwa is missing bc she thanked Beyoncé as a joke,” a netizen said.
“Jojo siwa is missing and no one cares,” a platform user said.

The Thank You Beyoncé trend went viral after conspiracy theorists made allegations about J.Cole's song She Knows. They speculated that in the song, Cole claimed that Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Diddy were behind Aaliyah, Left Eye, and Michael Jackson's deaths.

The trend reportedly gained popularity after Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, on charges of s*x trafficking and pr*stitution. Several conspiracy theorists have speculated that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were part of nefarious activities similar to Combs'.

This led to netizens thanking the Break My Soul singer in TikTok videos, supposedly hoping that she would keep them safe from dangerous circumstances.

In addition to all this, netizens also claimed that several singers and musicians had thanked Beyoncé in their award acceptance speeches. They named singers like Adele, Lizzo, and even Jay-Z. Some related this to JoJo Siwa's alleged disappearance, claiming that she had gone missing for making fun of the trend.

It is worth noting that the videos going viral are comedic, with no substantial evidence to support the claims. The claims are also based on speculations made by netizens who don't have strong proof.

“Beyoncé, you’ve got great music”: JoJo Siwa jokes about the trend at the Industry Dance Awards

The Karma singer appeared at the Industry Dance Awards on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. During her speech, she expressed gratitude to Beyoncé and said that she had to thank the singer so that they could "keep the dance community safe."

“I also have to say thank you to Beyoncé just so that we can keep the dance community safe. Beyoncé, you’ve got great music. We all love to dance to it. We all love you… Someone had to, and I will be the someone,” Siwa said.

JoJo Siwa also spoke to Us Weekly on October 9, 2024, at the Dancers Against Cancer's 10th Annual Gala of Stars Awards. Addressing the trend, the 21-year-old told the publication that the internet was "going to run with whatever it is they run with," adding that she couldn't predict what "they're going to do."

“The internet’s going to run with whatever it is they run with. They do their thing, and I can’t predict what they’re going to do. I don’t know. Go touch grass, go help in Florida. I don’t know,” the dancer said.

Beyoncé continued to become the target of jokes after Jaguar Wright made allegations against her and Jay-Z during an interview with Piers Morgan. Although Wright claimed that the couple had more victims than Diddy, their lawyer, Alex Spiro, told TMZ that the allegations were "nonsense."

"Piers Morgan then apologized on behalf of Wright for making the accusations on his show," the Carters' lawyer said.

Meanwhile, Diddy remains behind bars as he awaits his May 5, 2025, court trial. The Bad Boy Records founder's attorneys attempted to have him bailed out three times to no avail.
