"Kamala invested a lot in the people that may have been at the Puff parties"- Dame Dash says Trump campaign used the Diddy scandal effectively
Dame Dash recently addressed the victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential Election, saying that the latter's campaign used Diddy's ongoing legal issue as a strategy to defeat Kamala Harris. The record executive made the claims while appearing on American Nu Network for an interview on November 11, 2024.
Dash spoke on Kamala Harris' campaign during the conversation, praising the same by saying that if he was in her place, he would have maintained a distance from the celebrities. He further stated:
"I feel like Kamala invested a lot in the people that may have been at the Puff parties. It's a grey area so what they did there was made sure the whole world knew who Puff was and what he was accused of. But then they accused everybody that was at his party, to me being a part of it, because they never said exactly who those celebrities were."
He further mentioned that Trump's campaign "leveraged the Puff thing" perfectly and added that unlike Harris, he didn't have A-list celebrities during the campaign. He said:
"They didn't have any celebrities and the celebrities they had were like C minor. No disrespect to anybody. They were basically people that were kind of famous but it was like people that are still kind of struggling."
Diddy was arrested in September this year on several charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and dozens of lawsuits have been filed against him on similar charges by his alleged victims, as per BBC. His trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
Dame Dash spoke up about rumors of being a part of Diddy's parties in the past
A few days after Diddy was taken into custody, photos of Dame Dash went viral on different platforms where he was spotted on a bed. Apart from him, the pictures also featured Diddy alongside Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Aaliyah, and Jennifer Lopez.
The photos were shared through a page active under the username @keep6ixsolid on September 19, 2024. Dame shared his response to the pictures during an Instagram Live session, dismissing the claims that he attended Diddy's parties.
Dash clarified that he met Aaliyah on the day when the photos were taken. He further stated:
"That's what happened. That was 20 years ago, that was not in LA or Miami. But I know they gon' play games with them pictures – it's cool. I don't really care."
Speaking of the allegations against Diddy, Dame Dash said that he knew nothing about the events that happened after 2005. He addressed the situation where popular faces from the industry did not say anything after Diddy's arrest and said:
"People will sit there and watch people do things that could be immoral, but until they get caught, nobody says anything. Whether it's illegal or immoral for me I just break out – I don't wait for people to get busted."
While speaking to TMZ on September 30, 2024, Dame referred to the accusations against Diddy by saying that they were "disturbing." He added that he knew Diddy for a long time but never knew anything else about him, addressing the charges that were imposed against the artist.
