"Loves Trump so much he has to puke" — Netizens react to comedian Blaire Erskine's parody skit on ex-president's Coachella rally

Comedian and writer Blaire Erskine's latest parody sketch was from the point of view of a Donald Trump supporter after the former president's Coachella rally on October 12, 2024. The satirical sketch came after several people were reportedly left stranded hours after the rally as the buses that transported them to the venue failed to return to pick them up.

Erskine, a staff writer on the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, started the sketch by adding that Trump was her favorite Coachella performer, calling him a triple threat akin to Kid Rock.

"I was really excited when I heard Trump was coming to Coachella because he is one of my favorite performers because he can kind of do it all. He can dance, he can sing, he can talk, he's kind of like Kid Rock in that way he's a triple threat," she said.

She continued that she did not take the school bus to the venue as she considered them to be "Ubers for furries." She also compared the lack of enough buses to the lack of enough lifeboats on the Titanic.

She concluded the parody skit by asking people to stop sharing the video of her husband vomiting on social media, adding that his being sick was due to his love for Trump.

"My husband was caught on video on his hands and knees throwing up and I want people to stop sharing that. It's not because he was like exhausted from the heat or like the walking it was because he just loves President Trump that much it makes him want to puke," Erskine added.

The skit, posted on October 14, 2024, received 494K views at the time of writing. Many praised Erskine for her comedic prowess, commenting on their favorite bits from the skit.

"I stopped at litter boxes and furries….i just can’t anymore," one person commented.
"So we can’t vomit at our own weddings now?" someone else added.
"Not a chance she lives in CA or she flew with that TX accent..," another person tweeted.

Others noted how it was hard to decipher whether the video was real or a parody, with many believing it was legitimate at first.

"This is parody guys. I know it’s hard to tell nowadays..," one person tweeted.
"Glad I checked comments. Thought this was real," another person added.
"The sad thing is that you can't tell if she's joking anymore. That's how perverse MAGA stupidity has become," someone else commented.
"It says everything about Trump world that you don’t know if this is a parody or real!" another user wrote.

Trump rally attendees document being stranded on social media

Donald Trump's October 12 rally at Coachella, California, was seemingly plagued by misfortune from the start. According to the Times of San Diego, attendees complained about the scorching 100-degree heat, which led to many reported cases of heat exhaustion.

Trump addressed the crowd a little after 5:30 pm local time, and the rally wrapped up around 7 pm. However, the attendees were stranded at the venue after the buses that shuttled them the five miles from the parking lot to the rally reportedly did not appear.

X user @WesleyxJohnson documented the ordeal on the social media platform. However, he has since deleted the tweets, claiming the posts only incited drama. In the now-deleted tweets, he claimed that around 20 to 30 buses transported people from their cars to the venue.

However, he claimed that only one bus returned to pick them up after the rally concluded. He added the turnaround time for each trip was 30 minutes, leaving hundreds waiting for hours to return to their vehicles.

"Many poor people were stranded last night and it had everything to do with the bus gas stations not having any fuel. The buses had to drive 30 minutes out to find fuel and many didn’t return and some got stranded themselves trying to find fuel," he wrote.

Neither Trump nor his representatives have addressed the issue at the time of this article. The former president continues his presidential campaign, heading a town hall meeting in Georgia on October 15. His opponent, US Vice President Kamala Harris, is scheduled to appear in Detroit today.
