“Mr. senile making things up again” — Internet reacts to Trump’s claims of fraudulent voter registration in York County, Pennsylvania

As the elections approach closer, Donald Trump, the former President of the United States of America and a contestant in the upcoming elections posted on X on October 29, 2024, claiming that there have been many fraudulent voter registrations in York County, Pennsylvania. He wrote:

“Wow! York County, Pennsylvania, received THOUSANDS of potentially FRAUDULENT Voter Registration Forms and Mail-In Ballot Applications from a third party group. This is on top of Lancaster County being caught with 2600 Fake Ballots and Forms, all written by the same person. Really bad “stuff.””

He also questioned:

“WHAT IS GOING ON IN PENNSYLVANIA??? Law Enforcement must do their job, immediately!!! WOW!!!”

As soon as the post by Trump went viral, it not only garnered more than 22 million views in just a few hours but also several reactions from the masses, who mocked his claims. One X user commented on Trump’s post and stated:

Several others also commented and called this Trump’s “contingency plan,” and stated how he has “started crying” even before the elections, as he might be anticipating losing the elections.

“They doubted Kamala's ability to accomplish a win, so this serves as their contingency plan,” added an internet user on the post.
“Sounds like you think you’re going to lose and you’re making s*it up. We’ve seen the schtick before and it’s boring,” stated another.
“Here we go! He is already crying even before election day because he knows he’s going to lose,” mentioned one more X user.

Officials announced a few days back about investigating the voter registration: Details explored as Trump makes claims about fraudulent voter registration

As Trump claimed fraudulent voter registration in York County, Pennsylvania, it is worth noting that many media outlets like the Independent reported about officials acknowledging unspecified portions of voter registrations in the area. The publication mentioned that officials announced last week about possible signs of duplicate handwriting along with fake names and addresses.

Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Al Schmidt, said in a news conference:

"We don’t have a lot of details about these applications, so it’s important we not rush to judgment. We hope for a speedy and accurate conclusion to the investigation and hearing from the county."

Notably, many social media users also wrote about how Trump often made such claims during the 2020 elections. At the time, he often talked about fake voter registrations in Pennsylvania, however, Biden ended up winning from the area by less than one percent.

The U.S. elections are set for November 5, 2024, when citizens will vote for their preferred candidate for President. Donald Trump is running against the current Vice President, Kamala Harris.
