"Some celebrity is definitely super nervous": Netizens react as private investigators visit homes of Influencers covering Diddy in viral videos

Influencers have taken to social media to allege they were visited by private investigators who discussed the content they were creating in relation to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has been arrested on sex crime-related charges. It is worth noting that no official sources have confirmed that the men the social media personalities were visited by were investigators in reality.

This comes in the midst of federal prosecutors alleging in court that the music mogul was attempting to influence the potential jury pool selected for his case.

Internet personality Amala Ekpunobi took to her social media platforms to reveal that two men alleged to be investigators visited her old residence asking for her. She said on TikTok:

“They were coming to ask me whether I was or not being paid to talk about P. Diddy and his connection to other celebrities on my show… They did not immediately disclose that they were private investigators. I had to hoax that out of them after being quite hostile throughout the conversation but they kept bringing up the content that I made about P. Diddy and his connection to other celebrities.”

Amala Ekpunobi went on to claim that the two men told her that they were going to visit other influencers as well “to figure out whether or not they are being paid by a specific entity” to share content related to Diddy. The influencer also claimed that the men offered to pay her more than what other parties were paying her to share opposing stories about Diddy.

Netizens have since taken to social media to react to the occurrence, with one netizen commenting:

Several others went on to share their opinions as to why influencers were being reportedly visited by private investigators. Comments read:

“If true… must mean some so called famous people do not want this to get out,” an X user said.
“They also offered to pay them more to post positive tweets about Diddy…. I don’t buy it. It’s pure intimidation tactics. Call the police and report them for harassment,” a platform user said.
“This feels very threatening. I am not surprised,” a netizen said.

Several netizens opined that the investigators were sent by other celebrities in hopes of silencing the influencers addressing Diddy’s alleged crimes. Other comments read:

“They are trying to intimidate you. They want to cover this story up,” an X user said.
“The Diddy/Epsteination perv posse is getting really nervous now,” another netizen said.
“It’s glorious to watch them lose control of the narrative. They will never get it back. We are the news now,” a platform user commented.

As some netizens opine that the two men were from the FBI, it is worth noting that official sources have not confirmed whether they were private investigators or from the federal department. Meanwhile, other comments read:

“Diddy out there sending goons to clean up some sh*t,” an X user said.
“You are under zero obligation to talk to any private investigators. They have no authority of any kind,” a platform user said.

TikToker ‘Samsoncrouppen1’ shares video of the alleged investigators questioning him about Diddy-related content

Apart from Amala Ekpunobi taking to the internet to share her story of being questioned by private investigators, TikTok user Samsoncrouppen1 took to the social media website to share a video of the two men alleged to be the investigators. One of them, who claimed that his name was Robert James, said in the TikToker’s video:

“We are very nice and respectful and we will be. I just have two quick questions for you… simple question is are you paid to influence that that’s the story like that in any direction? That’s all we wanted to know ‘cause the company is still there looking into people who are.”

The influencers shared their story after federal prosecutors alleged that the Bad Boy Records mogul was making “relentless efforts” to “corruptly influence witness testimony” by making calls to speak to people who are not on his approved contact list, as per BBC. He was also reportedly accused of attempting to “influence a potential jury pool” by orchestrating social media posts.

Combs is faced with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking, and pr*stitution charges. He has been placed in a Brooklyn jail as he awaits his May 5, 2025, trial date.
