"That's Obama level wit" — Internet reacts to Kamala Harris telling hecklers at her Wisconsin rally they meant to go to the "smaller rally"

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris made fun of hecklers at her rally in Wisconsin on Thursday, October 17, telling them they wanted to go to the "smaller rally down the street."

Harris' comment came after hecklers began interrupting her while she was speaking about abortion rights in the United States. The Vice President criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump for appointing three Supreme Court judges who helped overturn the famous Roe vs Wade judgement. While she was speaking, hecklers began shouting to interrupt her speech.

After a short pause, Kamala Harris took a dig at the hecklers, and quipped:

“Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally. No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”

Fans took to X to react to the clip circulating online, with many praising Kamala Harris's wit. One X user wrote:

"That's Obama level wit. I love it."

On Thursday, October 17, Vice President Kamala Harris criticized former President Donald Trump for his infamous "father of IVF" comment. The Republican leader had made the comment during an interview with Fox News, earlier this year.

During the interview, Trump was told that he would be getting a question about in-vitro fertiliation (IVF). In response, the former President said:

“Oh, I want to talk about IVF. I’m the father of IVF, so I want to hear this question.”

Kamala Harris played a clip of Trump making the comment during her Winconsin rally, and said:

“I mean it just gets more unbelievable sometimes. And now the man calls himself the father of IVF? I mean, what does that even mean?"

Harris continued:

"He's the one responsible for it being at risk in the first place! What's sadly interesting is that when you listen to Trump talk it becomes increasingly clear he doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to the healthcare of women in America."

Kamala Harris further criticized Trump for his supposed role in appointing three Supreme Court judges whose votes helped overturn the Roe vs Wade judgement. The overturning of the judgement took away abortion protections in many US states, in 2022.

Speaking further at the Winconsin rally on Thursday, Harris spoke about the potential consequences, if Trump is elected back in the White House. She added:

“He wants to send the military after American citizens. He wants to prevent women from making decisions about their own bodies. He wants to threaten fundamental freedoms and rights like the freedom to vote, the freedom to be safe from gun violence, to breathe clean air and drink clean water, and the freedom to love who you love openly and with pride.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump spoke at the AI Smith dinner at New York on October 17, Thursday evening.

The 2024 US Presidential elections are set to be held on November 5, 2024.
