"The one who went to court to get his child support lowered?" - Internet calls out Safaree for gifting 10 carat diamond necklace to reality star
Safaree Samuels is getting blasted by netizens after he revealed on social media that he gifted reality star Amara La Negra a 10-carat diamond necklace. This comes in the midst of his legal battles with ex-wife Erica Mena, who took to the internet in recent weeks to claim that her ex-husband was asking the judge to lower his child support.
The Shade Room revealed on Instagram on October 23 that Safaree Samuels gifted the Love & Hip Hop: Miami reality show star a Vobara diamond necklace as a birthday gift. In the video, Samuels surprised the 33-year-old with her mother by her side. The relationship status of the two remains unknown at the time of writing this article.
In the video, Samuels told followers about how many carats the necklace was, to which La Negra said,
"Don't worry y'all. I'm going to go get it checked."
Internet users were baffled to see Samuels gift the Miami, Florida-born a diamond chain, considering he was fighting to have his child support lowered. Complex revealed that he had filed a petition in court to have his $4,305 monthly child support reduced as he was not making the same monthly income at the time of their 2022 divorce.
For those uninitiated, Samuels and Erica Mena filed for divorce in 2022. The duo are parents to Safire Majesty and Legend Brian, who are four and three years old, respectively.
Many took to The Shade Room post's comment section to opine that his actions would upset Erica Mena, who has put her ex-husband on blast on social media before. One netizen commented:

Safaree Samuels took to Instagram to share video of Erica Mena physically assaulting him
Amid the child support battle, with Mena alleging that Safaree had met their children less than 20 times this year, Safaree took to his Instagram account to share a video of him getting assaulted by Mena in front of their two children. He also told followers:
"I have to put myself first. Because I'm either gonna end up in jail or worse because I'm dealing with someone who's anger management is nonexistent."
In response to the same, Mena brought up an incident that occurred in 2023, where she claimed Safaree was "begging" to get back with her the following year. She said in an Instagram story:
"If it was so traumatic for you, why were you in my ring camera in May 4-7 begging for me to let you in and to take you back. Make it make sense."
Followers now await Mena's response to Safaree's latest antics.
