The latest addition to the list of celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential elections is Leonardo DiCaprio. The Titanic actor took to Instagram on October 25, 2024, to endorse Kamala Harris by talking about climate change and his reasoning for voting for Harris. In the video, Leonardo stated:
"Climate change is killing the earth and ruining our economy. We need a bold step forward to save our economy, our planet and ourselves. That's why I'm voting for Kamala Harris."
Internet users were quick to react to Leonardo endorsing Harris and took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinions. Alleging that the actor endorsing Kamala Harris is related to Leonardo's speculated connection with Diddy, an X user said:

In his Instagram video endorsing Kamala Harris, Leonardo DiCaprio talked about hurricanes Milton and Helene causing devastation in parts of North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. He shared that the hurricanes affected a lot of families and homes and that the storms have caused an estimated damage of $100 billion.
Leonardo stated:
"Make no mistake: These unnatural disasters were caused by climate change. Donald Trump continues to deny the facts. He continues to deny the science. He withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords and rolled back environmental protections."

After announcing his support for Kamala Harris, he gave reasons for the same stating the Vice President has helped lead the most important climate action in U.S. history like passing the Inflation Reduction Act.
Leonardo DiCaprio said that under Harris' leadership, they can set up "ambitious targets for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and building a green economy that not only creates jobs but also saves our planet."
Additionally, the Inception actor also posted a detailed caption alongside his post talking about the constant threat of unnatural disasters resulting from climate change and mentioning hurricanes Milton and Helene. His caption mentioned that people need leaders who are "equipped to enact climate policies" that will help save the planet, stating this is why he is casting his vote for Kamala Harris.
Leonardo DiCaprio's caption mentioned that under Harris' leadership, it would be possible to accomplish goals on climate policy that will move the country forward.
