“This is so parks and recreation coded” — Internet reacts to viral video of Kamala Harris visiting Pennsylvania residents on night before election
Kamala Harris spent the night before Election Day connecting directly with the voters in Reading, Pennsylvania. The vice president, in a close race with Donald Trump, visited a residential neighbourhood, where she met with a family consisting of the parents and their adult son.
The activity was carried out to emphasize the importance of each vote as she urged residents to make their voices heard at the polls. However, as soon as the video of the candidate in the US Elections went viral on social media, it sparked many reactions from the masses. The video of Kamala Harris was posted by an X user, @PopBase, where a user commented and said:
“This is so parks and recreation coded.”
Others also commented by sharing hilarious reactions, while others reacted by expressing how they would feel if Kamala Harris knocked on their door.
“Imagine THEE Kamala Harris knocking on your door,” wrote one social media user.

On the other hand, there was also a set of people who thought that the whole act was “fake,” and “staged.” Furthermore, many others also called Harris “desperate.”

As Kamala Harris visited the house of a Pennsylvania resident, just a night before the elections, the family was left shocked. Both the husband and wife walked towards the door to greet Harris.
“You know, it’s the day before the election, and I just wanted to come by and say I hope to earn your vote, and I just wanted to thank you for just giving us the time," Harris said.
The woman then exclaimed how she was already a Harris supporter:
“Well, you got my vote already, because I’m going to be working the polls. My husband will be voting tomorrow. But we’re all supporters."
Kamala Harris, the current Vice President was endorsed by Joe Biden, after the current President stepped down from his position in July 2024. Born in 1964, Harris has been the first female vice president of the country, the first African American, and the first Asian American to hold the post.
