Trump reportedly served french fries without hairnet or gloves at a McDonald's location previously cited for health code violations

On October 20, 2024, the former President hosted a promotional event at a McDonald’s in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, as part of a routine campaign stop.

As per NewsX, The incident took place at a location that has previously been cited for health code violations, raising concerns about public health and food safety protocols by Buck County.

On Sunday, former President Donald Trump hosted a campaign event at a McDonald’s franchise in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, which had been temporarily closed for regular operations. During the event, the former President took on the role of fry cook and served customers through the drive-thru, catering to the staged customers.

However, concerns were raised when the former President was observed handling food without wearing the necessary safety and hygiene equipment, such as gloves and a hairnet, as required by food safety regulations.

According to Media News, the former President has reportedly claimed that his "hands are clean already" before serving the customers.

Furthermore, reports indicate that Trump told a customer at the drive-thru that he had served 15 minutes longer than Vice President Kamala Harris, who also made a campaign stop at a McDonald’s in September 2024 —

"I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala … she never worked here," the former President said.

Trump was spotted wearing a white formal shirt, complemented by his signature red tie, and a McDonald’s blue and yellow apron. However, what raised concerns were the hairnet and gloves, as the franchise in question had failed a Bucks County report in March 2024 for health code violations.

According to NewsX, Bucks County health inspection officers reported several violations at McDonald’s in the past, noting that employees were not properly washing their hands before wearing gloves.

The report also highlighted that staff failed to wash their hands after handling trash, after touching raw meat, and before handling clean items that come into contact with food. The health inspection report stated the following —

"Food employees are not washing their hands as required before putting on gloves, after handling soiled tableware, after handling raw meat, before handling clean tableware, equipment, utensils. CFSM must review hand washing requirements with staff. Observed employees handling raw beef with gloves and then switching gloves without hand washing step in between."

Moreover, according to Media News, the report stated that workers at McDonald’s in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, were not wearing hairnets while preparing meals and take-away packages. A hairnet prevents hair from falling into food, which can pose a hygiene issue and lead to discomfort among consumers.

The McDonald’s franchise in question not only failed to comply with health codes in Bucks County, but reports also indicated that food was being stored at improper temperatures. The findings revealed that food was kept at unsafe temperatures, leading to ice buildup in the freezer.

The McDonald’s franchise involved has not yet issued a formal statement addressing the incident or clarifying whether appropriate corrective measures will be taken moving forward. However, neither Trump has addressed the concerns.

This is not the first time Trump has made headlines during his presidential campaign events. Most recently, on October 14, 2024, he made news during a town hall meeting in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

In the end, the former President shared a list of his favorite songs with the audience as part of his campaign for the upcoming presidential elections. He stated —

"While we're waiting. So we had a beautiful evening. And I don't know if they could get this song up quickly, but if they could work really quickly backstage while we're waiting. Ave Maria. Would anybody else like to faint? Please raise your hand. Let's do it now," Trump said.

The unexpected musical session was prompted when two individuals in the crowd required medical attention, leading the former President to fill the time unconventionally. He has not yet commented on this incident.
