"I’m seething" — Donald Trump on his microphone malfunction
Donald Trump's Milwaukee campaign rally was disrupted by a malfunctioning microphone, which seemingly left him frustrated. The former president said the faulty mic "stinks," adding that if he refused to pay the contractor because of the issue, he would get painted as the bad guy in the media.
At one point, he asked his supporters if they wanted to see him "knock the hell out of people backstage," adding:
“I get so angry. I’m up here seething. I’m seething. I’m working my a** off with this stupid mic. I’m blowing out my left arm, now I’m going to blow out my right arm, and I’m blowing out my damn throat too, because these stupid people. I’ll make you a deal. Pretend you’re listening to it perfectly and I’ll come back and do another one, OK?”
His team handed him a handheld mic to use for the rest of the rally, which he claimed was heavy, making him feel like he was "weightlifting."
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris also campaigned in Milwaukee on November 1. Her rally was a star-studded affair, with speeches from rapper Cardi B and comedian Keegan-Michael Key.
Both candidates continue their campaigns with four days left for the presidential election. On November 2, Trump will campaign in North Carolina, while Harris is expected to rally in Atlanta with celebrities like Spike Lee and Victoria Monét.
