"We are not getting Beyond the Spiderverse after this"— Internet reacts as Shameik Moore apologizes to Laura Harrier

Laura Harrier and Shameik Moore have been trending for some time ever since the former shared a video addressing Moore, who had posted an old video through his social media handles reportedly featuring them together on December 17, 2024.

Notably, Moore included a spider emoji in the post, which reportedly referred to Spider-Man. Laura replied to the clip with a lengthy video shared on TikTok, which went viral on Saturday, December 21, where she called Shameik a "weirdo."

Shameik Moore has now responded to Laura Harrier in another video, which is getting much attention on social media. Moore apologized to the actress as he was heard saying:

"This is all a misunderstanding. Unfortunately it's public, you know it's really the fan fiction man. It's the commentary. That's what's f*cking weird. But I mean no harm, I mean no harm, I have no ill intent. You know it's about art for me. The video had this aesthetic of a song that wasn't insinuating any relationship. I apologize for the misunderstanding."

Meanwhile, netizens took to the comments section of FearBuck's post on X to react to Moore's apology. One of them also wrote:

"We are not getting beyond the Spider Verse after this."

The response referred to the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where Moore has given his voice to the lead character. Similar replies continued, with netizens seemingly criticizing Moore for sharing the video featuring Laura Harrier.

"Bro is the one that started it by uploaded a video taken over a year ago saying "Coming soon", a user wrote on X.
"Shameik Moore should've stood on business. Emphasize how the post was about new music coming soon as opposed to apologizing & deactivating accounts", a netizen stated on X.
"Not sure why he posted this picture to begin with or why it caused all this drama…", one of the reactions mentioned.

While a few users praised Moore for apologizing, others said he should have "logged off instead of acting weird" initially.

"That's good", an X reaction reads.
"Yea right commentary is the problem", another reaction mentioned.
"He should've just logged off instead of acting weird in the first place", a netizen stated on X.

Shameik Moore has removed the video from all the platforms

Moore's original post featured him and Laura Harrier posing together. The latter claimed in her TikTok video that the photos included in the clip were captured at a party around a year ago. Harrier had even replied to a comment shared below her video as she wrote:

"I'm literally engaged. I don't know why that man is posting me lmao."

Laura Harrier said in her clip that she had approached Shameik Moore, asking him to remove the video. She also mentioned in the beginning that she does not speak about her relationships on camera since she has a habit of maintaining privacy. She addressed the reason why she wanted the video to be removed and stated:

"Also I'm literally getting married and I don't like this insinuation that there is something going on between us if that was your intention."

Furthermore, Shameik Moore deleted the video from the platforms where he shared it first before his apology clip started trending. However, Laura has yet to respond.
