What did Adam McKay say about Kamala Harris' election loss? 'Vice' director declares he's withdrawing his Democratic party support
As Donald Trump was declared the winner in the US Presidential elections held on November 5, 2024, popular director, Adam McKay declared that he is all set to “abandon” the Democratic Party. The Vice director posted a series of tweets on the social media platform X, where he criticized Harris.
Additionally, he blamed her for the campaign, and also slammed the current President of the country, Joe Biden. Adam stated that he did not handle the endorsing of Harris in the right way. A tweet from the director read:
“Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for 2 yrs, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare & embracing fracking, the Cheneys & a yr long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?”
He continued:
“Anyone with half a brain? But I thought liberals’ whole thing is being smart? It’s not? They actually just blindly cheer the parade of rickety optics wrapped up in New York Times fonts that is the modern Dem Party?”
Adam McKay went on and slammed the Democratic Party by sharing a tweet by an X user, Aaron Benanav, talking about the elections and the voting pattern. Adam called it a “strategic error” and accused the Democratic Party of doing what “big money” wanted them to do.
It is worth noting that Adam McKay has been in support of the Democratic Party, as Variety reported that he had endorsed Bernie Sanders for President in 2016 and 2020. Furthermore, he also wrote an open letter to Joe Biden last year in October for calling a ceasefire in Gaza.
