What did Elon Musk say about Cardi B? Rapper claps back at billionaire in viral tweet
Cardi B and Elon Musk recently engaged in a dispute on social media, with the former responding to Musk's comments about her. On November 1, Cardi appeared at a campaign rally for Kamala Harris, and Musk reposted a clip from the event uploaded on the official page of @akafacehots on X.
In his post on November 3, Elon called Cardi B a "puppet," adding that she cannot talk by herself. He mentioned:
"The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy."
Cardi B replied to Elon the same day, saying that he did not know anything about her. The rapper clarified that she is not a "puppet" and continued:
"I'm a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a*s off to provide for me! I'm a product of welfare, I'm a product of section 8, I'm a product of poverty and I'm a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don't know nothing about that."
The tweet shared through @akafacehots featured Cardi arriving to speak, and the people attending the rally cheered for her in the background. She said in the beginning that she was nervous, and an anonymous woman ran on stage to give her a phone to start speaking. As per The Independent, her teleprompters broke, due to which she had to stand on stage for some time.
Cardi B spoke on women's rights while addressing her support for Kamala Harris
According to Billboard, the campaign rally was held at the Wisconsin State Fair Exposition Center in West Allis. Cardi, who spoke at the rally, compared herself to Kamala Harris, calling herself an "underdog."
Also known as Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, she praised Kamala Harris, saying that the latter "spoke the words" she wanted to hear when it came to the country's future. Cardi mentioned that she believes in everything said by Kamala and continued:
"She's passionate, compassionate, empathetic, and most importantly, she's realistic. Kamala recognizes that this country is at risk, and that we need to strengthen the economy and addressed the rising cost of living."
Cardi B then began speaking on Donald Trump, criticizing him for his stand on women's rights and calling him a "hustler." She continued:
"Hustling women out of their rights is disgraceful. Hustling Americans out of their hard-earned money by selling Trump watches, Trump sneakers, Trump Bibles… do we really trust this man with our economy? A man who only cares about getting rich and cutting taxes for his billionaire friends."
Recently, Trump appeared at a rally in Wisconsin last month, where he said that he would protect women "whether the women like it or not," as reported by NBC News. Cardi B referred to the same by saying that protecting women refers to supporting and caring for them based on their choices.
Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are contesting the US presidential election scheduled for November 5, 2024. While the former has been endorsed by well-known faces like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Trump has also received support from personalities such as Jason Aldean.
