What was Jake Paul spraying on himself? Yellow spray can during Mike Tyson fight raises eyebrows online
Jake Paul's recent victory over Mike Tyson on November 15, 2024, has created headlines after the former sprayed something on himself during the fight. Jake was spotted using something from a yellow container after he came for the match, and it was revealed to be his men's care line, W.
Notably, most fans were spotted leaving the match in the middle, which aired on Netflix, without knowing the results. On the other hand, Paul used the spray when he entered the AT&T Stadium accompanied by his girlfriend Jutta Leerdama and he mostly applied it on his torso.
While Paul's spray usage grabbed much attention on social media, netizens shared their responses to the moment on X (formerly Twitter). One of them also wrote:
"Logan & Jake Paul are two of the greatest marketers on the planet. The W can being sprayed in every video shot is worth millions of dollars in free advertising."
Many were spotted questioning to know more details about the spray as they reacted.
"Dawg. Wtf is Jake Paul spraying himself with?", an X user wrote.
"What is this yellow spray bottle that @jakepaul keeps using?", another reaction on X reads.
"What does Jake Paul keep spraying himself with? What is in that yellow can?", a user stated.
Similar reactions continued, with a user criticizing Jake for using the spray.
"Jake Paul emoting and spraying his bod man fragrance on himself after beating up an old man is insane", one of the reactions mentioned.
"Jake Paul arrives, bathing himself in AXE body spray, with a heavily botoxed and plastic bimbette on his arm", a user wrote on X.
Jake Paul's men's care line has a collection of different products
As mentioned, the spray used by Jake during the fight was from his men's care line called W. Apart from the spray, the lineup also features antiperspirant and body wash and Jake started it since he has an "insecurity" towards sweating, as per Daily Mail.
The products of Jake's men's care line have various other features, including mood-boosting fragrances. Several useful ingredients are also added such as Vitamin B, Vitamin E, and Magnesium. Furthermore, the products are made without phthalates, parabens, harsh sulfates, and artificial dyes.
Modern Retail states that the brand was launched earlier this year and it was initially available at Walmart. Woodie Hillyard, CEO of the brand, appeared on the Modern Retail Podcast this month, saying that Jake's involvement helped the products to get a huge distribution in Walmart. Hillyard also mentioned:
"W is a better-for-you men's personal care brand that stands for winning and inspiring confidence in young men. And that's really a pretty interesting gap when it comes to the psychographic behind these brands that sit in the men's personal care space."
Hillyard said that he was able to handle everything easily since he previously launched a brand at Walmart in the past and added:
"I think what really got us confident in taking such a big bet from day one and got Walmart confident is [that] we had one of the most valuable marketing assets in the world in Jake Paul and his built-in audience."
Hillyard claimed that although there is a risk of being associated with a popular face, he described Jake as "one of the smartest business minds" he has ever collaborated with. Hillyard also stated that Jake approaches him whenever he tries to push the boundaries.
