What did Keith Olbermann say about Elon Musk? Commentator calls for Elon Musk to be arrested and detained over Russia-Putin links

Keith Olbermann, former MSNBC host, recently called for Tesla mogul Elon Musk to be arrested and detained. He further alleged that Musk working for Russia and suggested that President Biden should cancel his contracts and detain him.

On October 25, Keith took to X to address President Biden and his 1M followers and wrote:

“We need to arrest and detain @elonmusk immediately. He is operating on behalf of Russia. Cancel all contracts, seize his facilities, lock him away in a military facility. Now, @potus. Not tomorrow.”

Olbermann’s accusations came after Elon Musk was accused of being in regular contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the past two years. The Wall Street Journal’s October 25 article reported that the two men's conversation reportedly covered everything from personal to geopolitical topics.

The October 25 post was not the only time Olbermann targeted Musk. In an X post on October 7, while video promoting his podcast, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Olbermann claimed that the U.S. government needs to start terminating all of its agreements with Musk's companies. Stating the same, he said:

"It is now time to cancel all of Elon Musk’s government contracts. Tesla, SpaceX, whatever other cr*p he’s selling us. Tesla, SpaceX, whatever other cr*p he’s selling us. He is now actively engaged in a post-hurricane effort to spread potentially fatal disinformation and misinformation about FEMA’s recovery efforts and the impact in the affected states.”

Here, he referred to the time when Musk attacked the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Friday, October 4, saying that it was allegedly preventing the delivery of Starlink satellite internet in North Carolina, which was devastated by the hurricane.

Additionally, Olbermann also recommended that President Biden use presidential immunity to expel the multi-billionaire business tycoon "the F out of our country." The journalist further charged Musk with disseminating "potentially fatal disinformation and misinformation about FEMA’s recovery efforts and the impact in the affected states."

Olbermann continued to say:

"He is also now working in an in-kind donation turning Twitter X into a Trump advertising campaign. It’s time to cancel all the contracts and re-assess his immigration status, and hopefully deport him the hell out of the country.”

Olbermann then addressed President Biden in the X video and said:

"If we can’t do that by conventional means, President Biden, you have presidential immunity. Get Elon Musk the F out of our country and do it now."

Olbermann's accusations came after Musk's appearance on stage with Trump at his October 5 Pennsylvania campaign rally. As per Fox News’ October 7 report, during the event, Musk said,

"The true test of someone's character is how they behave under fire. We had one president who couldn't climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot. America is the home of the brave, and there's no truer test than courage under fire, so who do you want representing America?"

Musk also cautioned the audience that the election between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5 will be the "most important election of our lifetime." Musk then told the attendees that this was a must-win scenario.

On the other hand, Olbermann's video further alleged that Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk have been communicating with each other since late 2022. The aftermentioned Wall Street Journal report alleged that Musk and Putin were in touch throughout the year, despite Musk's increasing criticism of U.S. military assistance for Ukraine and his active participation in Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump's campaign.

It further reported that Putin once requested that the businessman refrain from turning on his Starlink satellite internet service over Taiwan as a favor to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Meanwhile, following the rumors of his link-up with Putin and Keith Olbermann’s allegations, Elon Musk has given made an official comment yet.
