What did Lord Jamar say about Kamala Harris? Rapper issues apology over recent remarks

Rapper Lord Jamar recently apologized for his comments about Vice President Kamala Harris. In a video uploaded on X by @ArtOfDialogue_ on October 19, the rapper addressed the backlash he received for his remarks. During the apology video, he said:

"I recently come under fire for calling Kamala Harris out of her name and as a man, I'm going to admit when I was wrong and that I did cross the line, yes, I shouldn't have called her the names that I called her.."

His apology followed a recent appearance on The Art of Dialogue podcast on Tuesday, October 15, where he criticized Harris, reportedly calling her a "b*tch."

The 56-year-old musician further stated that she (Harris) is "not qualified" to manage a Dunkin' Donuts or 7-Eleven location, "let alone" the US. He also condemned the Democratic nominee for being "insulting to Black people."

Lord Jamar expressed deep share over his remarks about Kamala Harris after reflecting on his own statements. The rapper stated:

"After watching it myself, it definitely was creams worthy and I would like to just extend my apology to her and all those that felt offended by my comments, yeah, you know, we have to really be mindful of where our words can travel to and just like a bully, once you release them, it's hard to take them back."

Jamar also promised to refrain from talking about women in a demeaning manner in the future, whether or not he agrees with them. He added:

"We have to really be mindful of where our words can travel to… like a bullet, once you release them, it's hard to take them back. She is Madam Vice President, whether we like it or not, and that's how she should be addressed."

Previously, during his appearance on The Art of Dialogue podcast on Tuesday, Lord Jamar expressed his frustration, stating that he was under pressure to support US Vice President Kamala Harris. He slammed the Harris campaign's attempts to appeal to Black voters, stating the Democrats had not succeeded in presenting her as a "female [Barack] Obama."

The rapper claimed that the moment her party brought her in, he seemed to know what they were going to do with her. Continuing his criticism of Kamala Harris, Jamar declared:

"She's a diggy broad. She cackles all the f**king time. She lies. She doesn't answer a f**king question — not once during that debate did she answer anything that was asked of her. So she thinks we are stupid and that we're going to vote for her off of identity politics."

Jamar also emphasized the prior services that Trump has rendered while in office, along with allegedly exposing the liberals' unfounded accusations that former US President Donald Trump has turned into a dictator.

He praised Trump's leadership, saying that his macho gangster persona prevented war during his administration. He then said that the worst individuals in the world are those who aspire to be like Trump and pretend to be like him. He further alleged that Trump did not establish himself as a dictator, and the notion that he would do so is so absurdly out of context.

The upcoming US presidential elections are scheduled for November 5, 2024.
