Who is Melissa Peacock? Strongman Luke Stoltman cheating allegations explored as his wife goes public
Scottish professional strongman Luke Stoltman's wife, Kushi, recently accused the athlete of having an affair with fellow Canadian female powerlifter, Melissa Peacock. In an Instagram post on November 14, Kushi reportedly detailed how Luke had cheated on her throughout their 8 years of marriage with "multiple women AND men".
"Thank you very much Luke Stoltman & Melissa Peacock for torturing me," Kushi wrote.
Last week, Luke Stoltman was at the 2024 Rogue Invitational Strongman & Strongwoman tournament in Aberdeen, Scotland. He secured 5th place in the final standings, with 32 points.
Melissa Peacock also competed in the strongwoman's event and finished in a tie with Welsh strongwoman Rebecca Roberts for 6th place, with 28.5 points in their final standings.
In 2021, Melissa won a bronze medal at the strongwoman event at the World's Ultimate Strongman contest after pulling a half-ton pickup truck from its static point. Melissa Peacock grew up in Frontier, in Canada's Saskatchewan province, and moved to its capital, Regina, in 2013.
Having a knack for various athletic sports, Melissa became acquainted with strongwoman contests. According to an article published by Regina Leader-Post on April 24, 2020, Melissa said:
"My coach encouraged me to have fun and to try new things. I ended up having a training lesson on some basic strongman stuff, and I was hooked after just the one session. I put the bodybuilding thing aside and immediately started training strongwoman."
Melissa said she found her determination after participating in a rookie strongwoman show and began training. She went on to compete at different levels from regional to national.
In 2018, Melissa Peacock participated in the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, Columbus, and finished in eighth place as a lightweight contestant. The following year, Melissa secured the 6th position in the middleweight competition, and in 2020, she came first in the division as an amateur middleweight.
Kushi's accusations against Strongwoman Luke Stoltman explored
Kushi Stotlman's November 14 Instagram post reportedly claimed that Luke Stoltman and Melissa Peacock likely spent time together last week, after the Rogue Invitational competition. Kushi said their 9-month-old son Koa Devaki Stoltman was in the hospital around the time, adding:
"Luke refusing to come and see him in hospital because he was with another woman behind my back."
At the beginning of her post, Kushi expressed she was able to get pregnant with their son after "going through so much heartache". Kushi believed her "world was complete" and she got the "happily ever after" that she always envisioned with Luke.
However, Kushi claimed Luke Stoltman had extramarital affairs with multiple people even when she was pregnant and continued his alleged infidelity afterward. Kushi, 31, wrote:
"Whilst going through IVF my husband was having an affair that I was completely unaware of."
Kushi continued talking about the 39-year-old:
"I am absolutely heartbroken and devastated that someone could be so cruel and nasty. He is not the man he portrays himself to be."
After naming Melissa Peacock alongside Luke Stoltman as the ones who hurt her, Kushi wrote:
"I have no idea how people in this world can be so cruel."
On November 15, Kushi posted an Instagram Story and thanked people who extended support to her. Calling the ordeal "traumatic", Kushi shared she would deactivate her account to prioritize her mental health and be the "best mother" for her son. Kushi has seemingly proceeded with the deactivation.
Luke Stoltman has yet to address the cheating allegations.
