What did Mark Cuban say about the women in Trump’s campaign? Former President hits back with criticism

Mark Cuban of Shark Tank fame claimed that Donald Trump didn't like to be challenged by strong women. During a Thursday, October 28, appearance on The View, Cuban claimed that Trump was intimidated by strong, intelligent women. He said:

"Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work."

Following heavy criticism from Trump supporters, Cuban took to X the following day to state that he knew strong, intelligent women who supported Trump but maintained that the former president didn't like to be challenged. On the same day, Trump tweeted a response to Cuban, calling him a "really dumb guy, who thinks he’s “hot stuff”."

"I surround myself with the strongest of women": Donald Trump hits back at Mark Cuban

As mentioned earlier, during his recent appearance on The View, former Dallas Mavericks principal owner Mark Cuban claimed that Donald Trump was intimidated by strong, intelligent women.

Cuban was replying to the question of why former Republican primary candidate Nikki Haley was not active in the Donald Trump campaign. On Wednesday, October 30, Haley claimed in an interview with Fox News that she hadn't talked to the former president since June and had not been approached by his campaign.

Mark Cuban later took to X on October 31 to "clarify" his comments. He quoted the statements he made on The View and stated:

"1. I know many strong, intelligent women voting for Trump. Including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart , strong and intelligent. 2. I know he has worked with strong intelligent women, like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka and many others; I stand by my opinion that he does not like being challenged publicly."

Donald Trump took to X on the same day as Mark Cuban and criticized the Shark Tank shark's comments. The former President claimed Cuban was "a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s “hot stuff”" and that he was "absolutely nothing".

The former president disagreed with Cuban's claims that he did not surround himself with strong women and claimed that Cuban was only critical of him as he allegedly completely cut him off when he was president. The former president claimed that the 66-year-old allegedly constantly kept calling him when he was at the White House. Donald Trump wrote:

"I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong. This guy is such a fool, he’s constantly on Television being critical, and only for the reason that I tuned him out completely while President because he called incessantly."

Donald Trump claimed that at the time, he told Mark Cuban that he couldn't take "so many pointless calls" from him as he had a lot of things to do. According to the former president, this affected Cuban deeply as he was "a very insecure guy, and a MAJOR LOSER".

Donald Trump claimed that nobody liked or respected Mark Cuban and further called him "unattractive both inside and out". The former president stated that Cuban should go back to talk about Kamala Harris, who he was allegedly "forced to support." The former United States president concluded:

"I may, in fact, be surrounded by the strongest women in the World, including Heads of Countries, who make Mark look like a “baby!” All strong women, and women in general, should be very angry about this weak man’s statement."

On the same day, Mark Cuban issued an apology for his statements on X. He apologized to anyone who felt "slighted or upset" by his comments. He clarified that the comments were not about current or former Trump voters, supporters, or employees.

Cuban has not issued a direct response to Trump's comments as of this article's writing.
