Why is "Kamala Groped Me" trending on Twitter? MAGA supporters lash out against latest s*xual misconduct allegations against Trump
According to a Forbes article dated October 23, 2024, a former model Stacey Williams accused Donald Trump of groping her in 1993 in an event held by Survivors for Kamala.
Stacey claimed that the incident took place during her visit to Trump Tower, which she made while being in a relationship with late Jeffrey Epstein. While the former model alleged her interaction with the former president was part of a "twisted game", his spokesperson called the allegations "unequivocally false."
Amidst accusations of s*xual misconduct against Trump, #KamalaGropedMe started trending on X, allegedly as a tactic by MAGA supporters to take down Harris. While none of the claims attached to the hashtag against Kamala Harris have been verified or found true, as of this writing, MAGA supporters have been posting stories with GIFs about the same:
"#KamalaGropedMe Kamala groped me 25 years ago but didn’t want to say anything until two weeks prior to an election."
Netizens took digs at the former model coming out with accusations against Trump close to the election date.
"Kamala groped me today. I will wait 20 years and tell right before Election Day because that’s how you do it #KamalaGropedMe," an X user tweeted.
"#KamalaGropedMe 25 years ago but I felt like it was important to let the world know today. Oh, #ElectionDay is in a few weeks? Oh, damn, I had no idea," another X user mentioned.
"Now that we’re 13 days away from the presidential election I figured this would be the most appropriate time to tell my story. In 1998 when I was 20 years old Kamala Harris groped me. I’ve lived in fear of telling my truth until now, 13 days before the election. #KamalaGropedMe" an internet user stated.
On the other hand, Kamala Harris supporters called out MAGA supporters for sharing false stories on s*xual misconduct.
"Not surprising to see maga got #KamalaGropedMe trending because maga thinks s*xual assault is a f***ing joke," an X user said.
"seeing #KamalaGropedMe and thinking that something f*cking happened and that this was gonna f*ck everything up completely just to figure out that MAGAs are joking about sa. not shocking from a group of people who think sa victims including minors should have to give birth..." another X user mentioned.
"It’s obvious this fake story was contrived by the Harris campaign"— Trump's spokesperson mentioned
As per former model Stacey Williams' claim of s*xual misconduct against Donald Trump mentioned by The Guardian on October 23, 2024, the former model said she met the Republican nominee for the first time in 1992. Stacey also said she believes the former president and Jeffrey Epstein were "really good friends" who spent a lot of time together.
Talking about the day of the incident, she alleged that moments after Epstein and she arrived at Trump Tower, the former president allegedly greeted her and pulled her toward him to start groping her. She claimed that the former president put his hands all over her waist and b**tocks, and she froze in the moment as she was confused about what was happening.
Karoline Leavitt, Trump's press secretary for the presidential campaign, offered a statement on behalf of the former president, denying Stacey's allegations. Karoline Leavitt's statement read:
“These accusations, made by a former activist for Barack Obama and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false. It’s obvious this fake story was contrived by the Harris campaign.”
According to The Guardian, about two dozen women have accused Trump of s*xual misconduct so far, with timelines dating back decades. The allegations against the former president comprise claims of kissing them without consent or reaching under their skirts.
Additionally, in 2023, a jury found the former president liable for s*xually abusing columnist E Jean Carroll in 1996, resulting in Carroll getting $5 million in the judgment.
