Double or Nothing
Double or Nothing

Double or Nothing has just wrapped up, and it was one of the best wrestling shows that's been held in quite some time. While their schedule before making it to TV in October isn't yet confirmed, they've done a great job setting up the future. Whether it be for new Championships or grudge matches, there are plenty of mouthwatering matchups in the future plans for AEW, and if they can hold off on running a lot of them so soon, they'll be great for quite some time.

Whether they happen at Fight for the Fallen, Fyter Fest, All Out, or they wait until TV begins in October, AEW has plenty of momentum behind them, and these matches certainly help. So without further ado, sit back and read along as today we look at 5 matches All Elite Wrestling have set up at Double or Nothing that we are incredibly excited to see in the future whenever they decide to run them.

#5 Nyla Rose vs. Awesome Kong

We came into Double or Nothing expecting to see a Triple Threat match between Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae and Britt Baker, but at the last second, Brandi Rhodes made a huge switch by bringing in former TNA icon Awesome Kong.

She didn't feature too heavily in the match, but that's likely to build her as a threat going forward. After being taken out by a Nyla Rose spear to the steel steps, this is one that AEW are going to heavily build going forward.

Alongside the 4 competitors and the Joshi performers, AEW have the likes of Sadie Gibbs, Bea Priestley and Allie waiting in the wings, so it's a very deep roster, but no match will have the atmosphere like this hoss fight. It was built quite a lot at Double or Nothing, and it's going to happen sometime in the future, and if Kong can still go, this one will be a war to remember.
