5 reasons WWE should have a Tag Team Money in the Bank match

<p>

Back in 2005, Chris Jericho had a problem. WrestleMania 21 was just around the corner, and yet he found himself with no worthy opponents.

Desiring a WrestleMania moment that would make him 'immortal,' he came up with the idea for the Money in the Bank ladder match. While ladder matches had been around for some time, the stipulations for this one would be unique; Rather than dangling a title belt over the ring, there would be a briefcase with a contract for the WWE world title inside.

The first man to claim the briefcase then won the contract, and the right to cash it in at any time, night or day. This isn't the first time the WWE used the idea of around the clock title defenses; Crash Holly did it with the Hardcore championship.

The biggest difference being that in the case of Money in the Bank only one person has the right to demand a title shot night or day.

Over time, many wrestlers have cashed in their MITB contract successfully, while a few others have failed to do so. CM Punk and Edge famously used their contracts on beaten and wearied opponents, much to the chagrin of the fans watching.

With great potential for storylines and angles, the MITB match has been elevated to its own pay per view. Now even the women's division gets their own MITB match. Which begs the question; What about the tag teams? Could WWE not have another MITB match exclusively for the tag division?

Here are five reasons the WWE needs to have a tag team Money in the Bank match.

The ladder match had become something of a seldom-used anachronism in the Attitude era of WWE, but three tag teams brought it back to prominence; The Dudleys, The Hardy Boys, and Edge and Christian.

The three teams decimated each other and created many of the spots that are now ladder match staples. Having a tag team MITB match would be like coming full circle for the concept.
