5 WWE Tag Teams Who Should Be Used Better in 2019
The WWE Tag Team Division for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live has been night and day in 2018. On Raw, Sheamus and Cesaro did not hold the titles long enough. And worse, they were even fed to Braun Strowman and Nicolas, a 10-year-old kid, at WrestleMania 34, only for the titles to be vacated the next night.
Raw also had odd tag team champions like Bray Wyatt and Woken Matt Hardy, The B-Team, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, and current holders Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Ziggler and McIntyre had potential while Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins did not need the tag titles. The Author of Pains only held the championships for a month, which was a travesty.
On the other hand, the SmackDown Tag Team championships have only been held by three teams in 2018: The Bludgeon Brothers, The New Day, and The Bar. The Bludgeon Brothers and The New Day had a good feud for the championship while The Bar, along with The Usos, make the tag team division of the blue brand must-see television.
But of course, there are still teams that need to be used better on both brands. Here are five WWE tag teams who should be used better in 2019.
Honourable Mentions: Breezango, The Ascension, and The Colons
Breezango was gaining momentum on SmackDown Live during their Fashion Files segments but they have been poorly used on Monday Night Raw. Fandango is currently injured but once he returns, he and Tyler Breeze should get a chance to prove themselves as wrestlers rather than comedians.
On the other hand, The Ascension and The Colons are veteran tag teams who have been lost in the shuffle. All four men, Viktor, Konnor, Primo, and Epico, are very talented individuals who should be used correctly. Hell, The Colons are former tag team champions and The Ascension are the longest-reigning tag team champions in NXT history.
