Fight Network UK to bring weekly episodic PCW British wrestling series to homes across the country
LONDON | TORONTO – Fight Network UK has announced that it will air a brand new weekly episodic Preston City Wrestling (“PCW”) British wrestling show every Saturday at 9:00 pm on Sky channel 192 and Freesat channel 161.
The first TV tapings are scheduled to take place in PCW’s home, the legendary Blackpool Tower Circus, on Feb.16 and Feb. 17, 2019. These tapings will feature some of the very best independent wrestling talent from all over the world, including PCW roster members Iestyn Rees, Sugar Dunkerton, Joey Hayes, Danny Hope, Tel Banham and Nightshade, as well as guest stars MJF, Tom Lawlor and Jeff Cobb. Full weekend audience tickets are just £15 and can be purchased from https://www.tickettailor.com/events/pcw
The PCW programming for Fight Network UK will be produced by 247.tv – an established production company hired to show British wrestling in a professionally produced, high standard to the world – and will air for initial 52-week run.
“We are proud to be coming to Fight Network UK to really show what PCW can do,” said PCW owner Steven Fludder. “We want to be the alternative to what is already on offer and provide a place for more talent to come to establish themselves and raise their own brand alongside our own. I really feel that the PCW roster is ready for bigger things and it is such a great feeling to be able to help get eyes on them from all over the world. PCW has always been a place for the best to come and show their skills and we will continue that trend to a television audience on Fight Network, on Saturday nights at 9 p.m.''
Greg Lambert, the two-time published author and UK wrestling personality, is a lead matchmaker at the helm of the show. Also one half of the PCW commentary team, alongside Stallion, Lambert has worked with many of the top British wrestling companies during his years in the industry.
Lambert said: "For PCW to be on Saturday night television is huge. I'm proud to be part of a leading pro wrestling company in the North West of England, where I was born and bred, and equally as proud to be the matchmaker and voice of PCW on The Fight Network. I can't wait for our talented roster to show TV viewers some of the best wrestling action they will see anywhere in the world."
