Impact News: Impact Wrestling releases trailer for their upcoming debut on Pursuit
What's the story?
Impact Wrestling has found a new home. The organisation will be moving to the Pursuit channel starting on Friday, January 11th 2019 at 10 pm (EST).
In case you didn't know...
Needless to say, the move from PopTV to Pursuit has come with a great deal of optimism and yet, concern too. From the organisation themselves, the Impact Wrestling executives seem to be very enthusiastic and hopefully, they will do well with Pursuit, in spite of the network airing on select channels throughout the world and primarily being an outdoor channel focused on hunting and fishing, among other things.
Impact Wrestling previously aired on PopTV over the past couple of years, undergoing a significant time change from 8 pm to 10 pm (EST time) in recent months. This move from prime-time greatly diminished their strong TV ratings - for the network, mind you.
The move to 10 pm Eastern time, as well as the approaching debut of a new wrestling promotion titled "Arolucha" at their previous 8 pm time slot signalled the eventual end of Impact Wrestling on PopTV and a sign they would need to move to another new network.
The heart of the matter
Earlier today on Impact Wrestling's Twitter page, the company formally announced their debut on Pursuit, along with a trailer showcasing the start time for their weekly shows, as shown below.
What's next?
Impact Wrestling will be making their debut, as mentioned above, on the Pursuit channel starting Friday night at 10 pm EST. Impact: Homecoming will be airing on Sunday, January 6th, 2019 live on pay-per-view featuring Johnny Impact defending the Impact Wrestling World Championship against "The Machine" Brian Cage.
