What's the story?
It has been confirmed that MLW Fusion will be seeing a new night and time. Get ready for the best one hour of pro wrestling action going today to land on your television or computer screens in quite some time.
In case you didn't know...
MLW Fusion has been one the most exciting, fast-rising wrestling shows in 2018 and is looking to make some serious headway as we move forward in 2019. With a couple of weekend specials on Saturday night, along with some of the best wrestling talent from Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and other wrestling promotions, it's not surprising that MLW is by far one of the most compelling wrestling television shows on the market today.
The heart of the matter
MLW will be moving their hit weekly episodic series to Saturday nights starting this weekend (February 16th) at 9 pm (EST). The move was made thanks to the positive feedback given by wrestling fans for their special back in December, with the latest special occurring a little over a couple weeks ago. On the show, "Filthy" Tom Lawlor captured the MLW World Heavyweight Championship from Low Ki, whilst The Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart, DB Smith Jr) captured the MLW Tag Team Championships from The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix).
MLW President Court Baurer commented on the move to Saturday nights with the following:
“With the majority of our cards on Saturday nights and beIN interested in doing more live broadcasts in 2019, it made sense to move the show to Saturdays,” MLW's Court Bauer said about the move. “Saturday night wrestling has a history dating back decades. It’s an honor to bring that tradition back starting this Saturday night on beIN.”
