What’s the story?

Chris Jericho has earlier today decided to take it to his official Instagram account in order to reflect on his epic entrance at the Wrestle Kingdom 12 at the Tokyo Dome.

In case you didn’t know…

Earlier in the week, former WWE World Champion Chris Jericho made his grand in-ring return to NJPW as “The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla” wrestled Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega in the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship at the Wrestle Kingdom 12 event. Both Jericho and Omega wrestled each other to a very brutal no disqualification match, which saw “The Cleaner” retain his championship after a very hard fought battle against his fellow Winnipeg native.

The heart of the matter

During Wrestle Kingdom 12, Chris Jericho decided to use the song Judas as his entrance theme for the Tokyo Dome event, the song is also originally produced by Jericho’s band Fozzy. In his Instagram post, Jericho claimed that making his entrance in front of 40,000 people with his band’s song being played was indeed a very priceless moment for him.

Further, Y2J also stated that walking to the ring with Fozzy’s Judas being played was certainly a very amazing experience for him. And this is what Jericho’s exact Instagram caption read: Not gonna lie… walking to the ring with @Fozzyrick #Judas SHAKING the #TokyoDome above me, was a pretty amazing experience…! #AlphaVsOmega #WrestleKingdom12

What’s next?

It now looks like Chris Jericho has decided to extend his stay in New Japan Pro Wrestling and his next possible feud will be against LIJ leader Tetsuya Naito. Following the Wrestle Kingdom 12 event, Jericho decided to assault Naito at the New Year’s Dash event on January 5th. However, the NJPW management is yet to confirm a match between the two superstars but one thing is certain that both men will indeed collide with each other in the near future.

Author’s Take

Jericho’s entrance was definitely one of the many highlights of the entire WK 12 show and seeing him walk out to his own band’s song was definitely very cool. As of right now, let’s hope that we get to see more Chris Jericho in NJPW.
