Big news coming on to the horizon by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) from NWA President Billy Corgan. Some exciting events have been revealed today that will surely put the NWA in the driver's seat heading into 2019.
In case you didn't know...
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the NWA has risen due in part of former Impact Wrestling Executive and current NWA President, Billy Corgan.
His passion and enthusiasm for professional wrestling and the NWA has shown with the resurgence of their talent roster, the resurrection of the NWA National Heavyweight Championship, key matches and wrestlers from around the world such as Cody Rhodes, Willie Mack, Nick Aldis (Magnus), Jazz, Flip Gordon and Tim Storm, just to name a few, that helped the NWA Brand out tremendously.
The #NWA70 show was a huge success and received worldwide attention from many wrestling journalists and fans from across the globe, featuring the epic rematch between Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis for the NWA Heavyweight Championship (a.k.a. "Ten Pounds Of Gold"), along with Willie Mack becoming the new NWA National Heavyweight Champion!
The heart of the matter
A couple of things, as we cut right to the chase. The NWA will continue its partnership into 2019 with Ring of Honor Wrestling and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood which is great news for the organization in terms of talent roster and expansion is concerned.
Secondly, Billy Corgan has announced via Instagram several key pay-per-view events that will be taking place throughout 2019, including a "Pop Up Event" that includes a special meet-and-greet with the NWA wrestlers through a special VIP package.
