Pro Wrestling News: Neville rejected appearance at All In
What's the Story?
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville apparently refused to participate in 'All In', the independent PPV event promoted and booked by The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes.
The news was revealed by Chris Jericho who himself took part in the event, attacking Kenny Omega after his match with Pentagon.
In Case You Didn't Know...
Neville was granted his release from WWE after he walked out on the company. Neville didn't like the direction his character and the entire Cruiserweight Division was going and being jobbed out to Enzo Amore was the last straw for him. He quit back in October 2017 after making his last Raw appearance during the last week of September.
Since then, he had a lengthy contract dispute with WWE which was resolved just earlier this year. After completing the no-compete period, Neville finally returned to wrestling at The Dragon Gate Promotion on 2nd October 2018, nearly a year after his last live appearance.
The Heart of the Matter
In Jericho's 'Talk is Jericho' podcast with Sami Zayn as the special guest, the duo talked about a lot of things, including the current independent scene. Zayn compared the current scene to when his 'deceased' friend El Generico wrestled there. The conversation soon became about Neville, who recently returned to the ring at Dragon Gate and has been announced at several other independent shows.
Jericho revealed that the Young Bucks had tried to get Neville to appear at All In and that they had managed a way for him to do so without going against any contractual obligations, but Neville refused the offer opting to make his return at Dragon Gate due to his loyalty to the promotion.
Neville, known in the indie circuit as Pac, started out his career in Dragon Gate and put his loyalty to where he came from before a paycheck.
What's Next?
A phenomenal in-ring talent, Neville will shine wherever he ends up wrestling at. We can only hope he will make his way to New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor soon enough.
