TOP 3 strongest women in Wrestling
Women wrestling has seen its ups and downs. There are a lot of influential women who took the wrestling sport by storm and left a mark in the industry. Mae Young, The Fabulous Moolah, Bull Nakano, Lita, Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, Paige, Gail Kim and of course Chyna are some of the most influential figures in the world of women's wrestling who defined women wrestling in their respective era's. Then came a time when women in wrestling were not being used for their wrestling skills but for their looks. It was the time of divas, women were portrayed as eye candy and as sex symbols to increase their fanbase. Matches like pillow fights were more popular than a normal wrestling match during that time.
The fans did not like this and voiced their opinion, and somehow their voices were heard by the WWE management and we got the Women's revolution. The current state of women's wrestling in WWE, as well as the independent circuit, is decent and we're getting to see women compete in hardcore, hell in a cell, iron man matches and get the main event spot.
It is good to see women being portrayed as strong, fierce instead of mere eye candies.
In this list, I am going to talk about women who are strong and beautiful at the same time, I have only included active wrestlers that's why one of the strongest women who has broken all stereotypes, Chyna won't be included in this list.
So, here are the top 3 strongest women in wrestling.
#1 Jordynne Grace
Jordynne Grace a.k.a Thick Mama Pump has that cute yet intimidating in-ring presence. She is a powerhouse with an amazing physique and she is breaking all
the stereotypes with her muscular appearance and it is hard to believe that she is just 22 years old.
She made her wrestling debut in the year 2011 working in the independent circuit for a few years. She unsuccessfully challenged Jazz for the NWA World Women's Championship on 28th October 2018. On 1st September 2018, Grace participated in a 19-person over the budget battle royale to determine the number one contender for the ROH World Championship on All In and she was the only female in the match and managed to eliminate Brian Cage.
She is currently signed to Impact Wrestling. If you have not seen her wrestle, check her Impact Wrestling debut in the video above.
The one thing that makes this lady special is the blend of power and agility that is not very common in the women's division of wrestling, from bear hugs to shotgun dropkicks she is a total package inside the ring and that too at such a young age.
