WWE News: Jason Jordon suffers a nasty bruise on his arm during RAW
What's the story?
Jason Jordan's feud with Elias went up a level this past Monday on RAW. The two went one-on-one again after their bout's disputed finish at WWE TLC, and it was Kurt Angle's son who once again got the victory. He did so by disqualification however, after Elias blasted him in the shoulder with his guitar.
WWE posted a grisly photo on Instagram of Jordan's heavily bruised arm following the shot.
In case you didn't know...
In what was arguably the worst part of a particularly zany pay-per-view, Elias' attempts to play a song for the TLC crowd were continuously interrupted by Jason Jordan and his shopping trolley of fruits and vegetables.
That all led to an impromptu match between the two, which was won in a controversial fashion by Jordan as Elias kicked out at three. A rematch between the two young stars was good for this week's episode of RAW.
The heart of the matter
Jason Jordan was on the way to getting the better of Elias for the second straight night when The Drifter decided to take matters into his own hands and cause a disqualification. He did this in his trademark style, by taking his guitar and walloping Jordan in the shoulder to bring the match to a close.
The shot looked vicious, to say the least, but it seems as though Jordan has managed to avoid a serious injury. WWE posted a photo of the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions' arm following the match, complete with a fresh red, blue and purple bruise.
There has been no follow up to the picture, however, so it seems as though Jordan will be fine to compete on next week's RAW. Jordan was one of many RAW superstars taken out by the SmackDown roster in the angle that closed this Monday's show.
What's next?
The beef between Jason Jordan and Elias is obviously far from over, but it may well take a backseat over the coming weeks as the build to Survivor Series kicks into high gear. Neither man is likely to be involved in a big match at the pay-per-view.
Author's take
The guitar shot looked grisly as The Drifter put his entire self into the blow. As bad as it looked, it is still light years away from the miserable years of the Attitude Era, when Jeff Jarrett would smash guitars over people's heads on a weekly basis.
