Like all maps, A Dusty Trip's The Hallow begins after you assemble and fuel your vehicle and venture out into the open world. Be sure to grab as many firearms as you can before leaving, as you will come face-to-face with formidable foes in your path. This special map features a unique aesthetic; instead of a sandy desert, you are placed on a single road in the middle of a forest.

The Hallow contains three major landmarks: Trick O’ Town, the Horde, and Yorick’s Resting Place at 1,500 meters, 3,000 meters, and 5,000 meters, respectively. Each one has unique items to collect, found scattered across the area or given by NPCs. Two of these locations feature a boss fight as well: Bloxhilda in Trick O’ Town and the Headless Horseman in the Graveyard.

Trick O’ Town is a small area with a few houses where you can ring the bell and collect Candy from the inhabitants. One of these houses is home to the boss Bloxhilda. The main gimmick of this boss is that she becomes invulnerable for a few seconds as she launches her assault.

While she is invincible, Bloxhilda will attack you with AoE spells, which can be avoided through careful positioning. Once she is left open, your avatar will indicate so, prompting you to begin shooting the boss. When defeated, she drops the Spider Gun, a unique weapon that shoots high-speed webs to entangle foes.

The next area is The Horde at 3,000 meters, which features undead enemies that you can take down while searching the area for Candy. Scour the place for items while fending waves of the undead horde off and leave before you are overrun by the zombies.

At 5,000 meters, you will spot a floating magical seal, marking the location of the final landmark: Yorick’s Resting Place. Exploring the area will reveal to you that the boss of the area has taken Bloxhilda, the zombies, and various NPCs captive. As you enter the graveyard, you will trigger a boss fight with the Headless Horseman.

Like Bloxhilda, the Headless Horseman has an attacking phase during which he is completely invulnerable. His assault includes AoE attacks, sweeping attacks that must be jumped over, and lackeys who distract you from the main threat.

Take down the lackeys and wait for the Horseman to become vulnerable before peppering him with gunfire. Once his health depletes, he will be defeated, rewarding you with Candy and the brand-new weapon, the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher.
