Anime Royale Update 2.5 patch notes
Anime Royale is a Roblox tower defense experience with a focus on anime-themed characters. Its latest update – dubbed Update 2.5 – on November 12, 2024, makes a small addition to the experience and expands the overall scope of the game. Since the update serves as a precursor to a larger one in the future, the changes made with it are minimal.
Here’s what you need to know about Update 2.5 in Anime Royale.
Everything new in Update 2.5 for Anime Royale
Season 1 Royale Pass
The only new element introduced to the game with Update 2.5 is the new battle pass. Known as the Royale Pass, this patch marks the beginning of the first season of this game’s battle pass system. You can level it up by scoring kills in any stage, no matter the mode.
Featuring 30 levels that reward you each time you level up, this prize ladder-style system is a great way to stock up on valuable resources. This is particularly the case for beginners, who get three new powerful units to try out in battle once they complete the ladder climb.
The Royale Pass comes in two tiers: Free and Premium. You can access the Free tier by default, whereas the Premium tier requires you to pay 699 Robux to unlock. Since the Premium tier is an add-on, it doesn’t replace the rewards its free counterpart offers. Instead, it adds to the free version, making it all the more beneficial for those willing to part with their Robux.
Furthermore, players may opt to skip 10 levels at once for 700 Robux and unlock the corresponding rewards instantly. This can be done at any point before completing the Royale Pass and is a way to finish the grind if on a time crunch.
The rewards this pass offers include Rerolls, Stat Crystals, Diamonds, and Cursed Fingers, among others.

Obtainable units
The Royale Pass offers three units as part of its rewards system, acting as an incentive for players to complete the battle pass. Their place on the ladder corresponds to their effectiveness: the least powerful unit can be claimed early, while the most effective is reserved for the final level.
First of these is Misaka, who can be claimed at level 1 of the ladder. She is a capable unit that can carry much of the early game for you, making her well-suited for beginners. Then, you can claim Vile at level 15, a unit that inflicts blood loss and can be a great secondary option for mid-late game content.
Lastly, the grand prize of this battle pass is Zeke, who can inflict the Slow status ailment onto the enemy with his attacks. While his damage is passable, his ability to reliably pelt enemies with the status ailment makes him very valuable. Enemies are liable to come to a crawl as your main damage dealers take them out easily.
