Anime Vanguards Tournaments guide
The recent Anime Vanguards update introduced a brand new game mode called Tournaments, and some players may be a bit confused about its workings. You will find a new NPC, Todu, in front of the Story Mode section, who will brief you about the new game mode. This is where you can access Tournaments if you wish to clash against other players.
This article will provide all the crucial details you must know about this new game mode before jumping into it.
How to play Tournaments in Anime Vanguards
Tournaments is a brand new game mode that was added to Anime Vanguards with Update 1. Once you talk to Todu, he will let you join the Tournament where each match lasts 20 minutes. The goal is to deal the most damage and outdo other players to secure victory, meaning, you must rely on your most powerful units in this mode.
Fortunately, the Tournament mode allows you to enable or disable Traits, letting you use them with your most powerful unit to deal the most damage. This additional power boost might give you an upper hand over others during the match.
The map for this mode changes every week and is selected at random. So, you might get to fight on Planet Namek today and at the Shibuya Station next week. This keeps the matches interesting and has players come up with different strategies depending on the map. This also lets players experiment with different decks to counter the map.

How to get better units in the game
The best way to test your luck and obtain better units in the game is by using Gems at the Summoning portal. You can spend 50 Gems per summon and keep filling the Legendary and Mythic Pity. Once they are full/near full, you have the highest chance of pulling a unit from that rarity.
