Accessing Chapter 4 in Color or Die

Opening the path to Color or Die Chapter 4 requires you to get an Escaped ending on the previous maps. Once you do, the spiral path to the chapter’s elevator will have opened up. Walk through the dizzying tunnel to access it and begin a 10-second countdown, teleporting you to the chapter-specific hub once the timer reaches zero.

The Chapter 4 hub is similar to the other hub areas of the game. You can start the level by opening the black wall or access Chapters 2 and 3 by walking to the right of the white wall.

Furthermore, Chapter 1 is accessible through the same elevator used to get to Chapter 4.

Clearing Chapter 4 in Color or Die

The monster to keep an eye on in Color or Die Chapter 4 is Sir Leon. Like the other fiends in the game, Sir Leon is capable of killing a player instantly, forcing them to either revive or restart their journey from the very beginning.

This monster’s special ability is color assimilation, which allows him to steal a player’s colors by killing them. If he is the same color as you, he will be able to spot you hiding against a colored wall, making it immensely difficult to avoid him. Doors of the color he assimilates open up, which can be beneficial for other players on the server.

Here’s how you can find all paintbrushes and paint buckets in Chapter 4 of Color or Die:

Enter the maze and pick up the red paint bucket, like the other levels. Go through the path on the left and continue in a straight line until you reach the end of the path.
With the red and purple wall to the left, turn right and walk along the path through a yellow and green pathway. Take another left and continue walking until you spot the red door. Mash the Left Mouse Button with your cursor on the door to open it, revealing the puzzle piece item and the teal door. Remember this location, as it will become important later.
Leave the red door and go in a straight line until you arrive at a diverging path. Take a right here and continue walking while sticking to the left side of the hall. Turn a corner around a blue wall to see the yellow door. Use this as a landmark for future reference.
Continue along the left side of the purple wall and turn right when it turns orange to collect your first paintbrush.
Go to the end of the hallway and turn left to spot a special door, which can be unlocked with a key code later on. For now, walk past it and take the first right for the second paintbrush.
Leave the area and turn right to find the wall with the jigsaw pieces. Slot in the puzzle piece, opening the door and giving you access to the third paintbrush and the orange paint bucket.
Go back outside and take a right, following the path until you spot a wooden door. Turn right along the orange wall and continue going through the halls.
At the junction, you will see a green door on the right and a pink doorg on the left. Going left, you will encounter a massive wall displaying your current paintbrush count. These will serve as important landmarks moving forward, so take note of their locations.
With the paintbrush count wall on the right, move diagonally left to reach the blue and orange wall. Go right here and take another immediate left to find the orange door. Use the paint bucket to open the path and collect the yellow paint bucket.
Before returning to the yellow door, leave the orange door and stick to the right wall as you move. At the very end of the hallway, collect the fourth paintbrush.
Return to the yellow door and go around an adjacent corner to obtain the fifth paintbrush. Then, unlock the yellow door to enter a black-and-white door, transporting you to an obstacle course.
Clear the obstacle course for access to the sixth paintbrush and the green paint bucket.
Return to the green door and unlock it to access the second obstacle course. Make your way across the level for the teal paint bucket.
Go back to the jigsaw puzzle door. Facing away from it, proceed leftward, and until you can turn right. A few steps ahead, you will spot the seventh paintbrush.
Find the eighth paintbrush next to a wooden door, accessible by following the path.
Head back to the teal door and open it using the paint bucket. Grab the ninth paintbrush and the key code and book it out of there.
Go back to the unique door close to the location of the second paintbrush and open it with the key code. Nab the blue paint bucket and leave the room.
The blue door is down the hall next to the massive wall with the paintbrush count. Facing the paintbrush wall, turn left and simply follow the path to reach it. Use the paint bucket to unlock it and collect the 10th paintbrush.
Return to the first obstacle course and open the door found close to the middle of the level. Grab the gear and leave the course.
The gear slots into a vault door, which is located close to the jigsaw wall. With the jigsaw wall to your left, walk forward, take the first right, and turn right once more. Keep going while hugging the right wall to reach the vault door.
Click the vault door to open it and receive the purple paint bucket and your 11th paintbrush.
Trace your steps back to the second obstacle course and instead of entering the door, climb down the ladder and open the purple door. Collect the staff pass and leave the course.
Go back to the keycode door and with it to your right, continue making your way down the path. Keep going straight, taking a slight left at the blue wall, and turning right at the orange wall. Use the pass at the door you see on the left for the 12th paintbrush and the pink paint bucket.
Head to the pink door and open it with the bucket to get the book. Retrace your steps to the staff pass door and face away from it. Follow the path while hugging the right side wall to find the bookcase.
Use the book to open the bookcase and collect the final paintbrush. This also opens the massive wall with the paintbrush count on it.
Head to the massive wall and go through the door for the last obstacle course. This leads to the white paint bucket, giving you the way to open the door in the hub area.

Now, open the white door in the hub to access the endings. It’s imperative not to die while in this area, as it will reset your progress, forcing you to start over. Finish the stage to view the Escaped ending.
