Chef's objective
As a chef, you have the entire kitchen filled with plenty of ingredients and equipment. You can't simply pick up an ingredient or food item and serve it to the customer. Technically, you can; however, that won't give you much in-game currency in return. Instead, you should try processing the food item with the most appropriate equipment.
For example, you can break the eggs and put them on the cooking stove to make fried eggs. You can also put a chicken in the Meatinator to obtain the meat. Possibilities are countless! Once you have created a dish you think is perfect, give it to the customers outside and earn money. With that money, you can purchase various items from the shop. For instance, you can get chilly, which gives a speed boost.

Customer's objective
While playing as a customer, your main goal is to avoid getting caught by the chefs. Upon getting caught, the chefs can carry and cook you. While you are running around, you can click on the mouth button in the hotbar and start eating every consumable in the kitchen. This also includes the rats and chickens wandering across the map.
As you keep on eating, your weight will increase, and after a while, you will explode. This will emit a green gas out of your body that degrades the quality of nearby cooked dishes. Degraded food will earn the chefs less money.
There's no end to this game as it goes on in a continuous loop. However, you can earn the most amount of money and eventually, top the leaderboard to show your prowess.
