Underground War 2.0 lets you choose between the Red and Blue teams before allowing you into the fray. Once you choose your preferred team, you will spawn on your half of the map. From this point, you must make your way to the other half by digging a tunnel and defeating any opponents in the way.

Armed with a Shovel, a Sword, and a Gun, you have access to all the tools required to score Points from the very beginning. However, the Shovel is purely utility-focused as it lets you dig through walls and create cover.

Each wall that you break will grant your team a single Point, making it a decent way to build up the bank without engaging in combat. Furthermore, you can follow this method to dig your way to the opposing team’s base.

On the other hand, the Sword and the Gun are two purely combat-focused tools that can be used to score seven Points and seven Cash per kill. You are also allowed to switch between all three tools at will, forcing you to adopt different strategies based on the current situation.

Earn Points and try to score more kills than the opposing team to secure the victory and receive Cash.

Swordplay and Gunplay

The Gun and the Sword are the two main combat tools that the game gives you from the very beginning. Although you can use in-game cash to upgrade these tools and improve their performance, you cannot replace them with better alternatives available in the shop. This keeps every player on a relatively even field, with the game pass-exclusive weapons being the only exception.

The gun works as a long-range semi-automatic rifle that can kill an opponent in two shots. Once fired, the weapon enters a brief cooldown state, so you have to pay attention to your aim. This determines the ebb and flow of the match, forcing players to get closer to try and score kills with the Sword instead.

Switching to the Sword grants you a bladed weapon with a limited range. It attacks in a single slashing motion with your avatar holding it away from their body. Do note that the weapon's hitbox remains active even when it is in the extended position and can kill enemies within a slash or two.

No matter which weapon you use, the idea is to get your kills as efficiently as you can without being taken down yourself.

Point system

You can earn a single Point for digging through a wall, indicated by a dark brown outline. This is the easiest way to earn them since it involves little to no risk. However, if you want to rack up Points, engaging with the enemy team is your only option. Scoring a kill grants you seven Points, making it the most desirable way to win the game for your team.

Once a team member racks up a certain amount of points, the Nuke in the middle of the map becomes usable. The team member can then interact with the Nuke to launch it, instantly killing every member of the opposing team after a 15-second buffer. This all but secures the victory for their team, earning them plenty of Cash and Rank XP.

Other tools and Upgrades

In addition to the three basic tools, you can also access the Medkit to heal any damage you or your allies take during combat. Finding the right moment to do so saves you and your allies from death while preventing the other team from gaining points.

Another useful tool is the game pass-exclusive Rocket Launcher, which costs 350 Robux. This weapon deals plenty of damage but trades firing speed for it. The projectiles it launches are slow and easy to avoid if the target is aware of it. So, combining it with the sword is the best way to trap your opponent.

You can upgrade every non-premium weapon in the game, improving their effectiveness. The Sword receives a damage buff, the Gun a cooldown reduction, the Shovel a dig speed buff, and the First-Aid Kit a healing speed bonus. Use Cash to maximize their effectiveness and take on the opposing teams without worrying about them outclassing you.

You can purchase various in-game items using Robux. Most of the items available at the in-game Shop are purely cosmetic, adding visual flair to your gear. You can equip new skins for your weapons or kill effects for less than 100 Robux apiece.

The Shop’s premium selection also includes Cash and potions that boost money and XP acquisition for some time. Additionally, the Rocket Launcher game pass is accessible through the same menu.
