Jujutsu Beatdown Rails guide
Jujutsu Beatdown is a game that requires you to duke it out with other players while embodying characters inspired by the famous anime and manga series, Jujutsu Kaisen. Rails are universal tools available readily throughout the map, giving players a convenient traversal method that takes them across the city within seconds. Not only are they quick and easy to access, but they also lead to a host of unique interactions.
This guide explores Rails in detail, giving you every piece of relevant information to use them effectively in and out of combat.
How Rails function in Jujutsu Beatdown
The primary function of Rails in Jujutsu Beatdown is to facilitate traversal. When you approach a set of Rails, your avatar will automatically enter a Rail-grind animation, sliding across the length of the metal pathway. Each set has a different length, which dictates their function in and out of combat.
Movement speed on Rails depends on your HP level; the lower your health, the slower you move. This has two implications: a player with low HP can’t run away as easily, and a healthy combatant will have an easier time initiating combat. This serves to preserve the flow of combat by disincentivizing retreating, as players will always be at a disadvantage when fleeing on Rails.
The metallic bars lean into the game’s offense-oriented mechanics, giving combatants more combo-initiating tools to use in combat.

Using Rails in combat
You can perform two unique actions to initiate combat or mount a counterattack while on Rails: the Rail Attack and the Rail Counter.
A Rail Attack can be performed by leaping off the metallic bars and hitting the attack button (Left Mouse Button). The move does not track particularly well, but it does cause destructive damage, making it a great way to ambush an unwitting opponent.
In contrast, a Rail Counter is a defensive tool that activates when you press the attack button as they slide on the tracks. This causes your avatar to momentarily flash blue, during which you will be able to counter an opponent’s moves. The counter only activates if the enemy combatant is also on the same rail and within range, triggering a rush combo.
Upon successful activation, the retaliating flurry will knock the foe off the Rails and send them into a ragdoll state.
