Outlaster: A beginner's guide
Outlaster is a game show-style Roblox experience where 10+ players are segregated into three teams and voted off one by one until there are none left. This title is about teamwork and the competitive spirit. You must face challenges and overcome them to avoid the Elimination phase. Become the last person standing by outperforming other players and emerging at the top as the one to outlast all.
This guide gives you an overview of the fundamentals of Outlaster, along with a few survival tips.
Getting started with Outlaster
Overview
Outlaster is all about ensuring you remain the last person standing either by performing well in the minigames or by convincing your teammates not to vote you off. The game progresses in rounds that see one player being voted off until there is just one left at the end, who is declared the winner.
Each round has two phases: the Competition and the Elimination phases. The Competition phase has you and your team face off against the others in minigames. You can expect to see Mario Party-style minigames, which may involve races, platformer challenges, arena fights, and more.
After the Competition, the losing team must vote one of their teammates off in the Elimination, reducing their numbers by one. The other team enjoys immunity, during which they may search for hints or go fishing at the nearby lake.
Cooperate with the others, formulate a strategy, and secure the advantage in this Roblox experience all about surviving at any costs.

Gameplay mechanics
- Round-Based Structure: The game emphasizes progression in rounds. Since each match starts with 10 or more players, it tends to last for quite a while since Robloxians must vote for eliminations one at a time. The match progresses until there are no players left except for the sole outlaster.
- Game Modes: There are three game modes to choose from: Classic, Voice Chat only, and All Stars. These modes have no structural changes; rather, they affect matchmaking. Classic mode is the vanilla Outlaster experience, where Voice Chat only filters the players down to those willing to use the voice chat feature for communication. The All Stars mode matches you with veterans of the experience, giving you a highly competitive experience that pulls no stops.
- Team Distribution: At the beginning of the match, players can vote for the leaders of the three main teams who, in turn, choose their team members. Once the team leaders have selected all players, the game progresses into the first phase of the first round.
- Phases of a Round: There are two phases in each round: Competition and Elimination. The Competition phase requires the most active participation from players, as it involves minigames where they must cooperate or fight for their teams to win. In contrast, the Elimination phase has you either vote someone out or hang out in the camp until the other teams or players have cast their votes. As such, winners have plenty of downtime between rounds while those without the winner’s immunity must face the stressful decision of losing a team member.
- Minigames: The Competition phase is full of various challenges that act as the filter for each team. Teams that don’t perform well risk losing one or more of their members each round. There is a great variety of challenges to find in this experience, giving all players something they would shine in. These may require teamwork or individual performance based on the given objective, and winning the task earns you Cash, along with the winner’s immunity. So, to be the last person standing, you must rely on your teammates or risk losing it all.
- Redemption Round: The Redemption Round is a wild-card entry for the eliminated players, which incentivizes them for sticking around. This round can completely flip the dynamic in this game, where previously eliminated players can have a second go at the victory spot.
- Camp Activities: You can seek out hints or go fishing at the camp, provided you are one of the winners. Interact with the hint in the overworld to collect it and view some secret information that may help you win the game. Alternatively, pick up the fishing rod next to a couple of crates in the camp and go fishing in the nearby pond for extra Cash.
- In-game shop: The in-game shop includes various products to purchase using Cash or Robux. In-game Cash is reserved for cosmetic and largely aesthetic components, while the things available through Robux can make the game easier for you. Use your resources judiciously to maximize the chances of winning this competitive experience.
