Short Horror Games' latest update has added The Nightshift Janitor story chapter, bringing a fresh set of horrifying experiences for players. However, as usual, navigating around the map and completing all the tasks can be slightly confusing. As the official description of The Nightshift Janitor says:
"After being desperate for a new opportunity, you find a job working the night-shift position for Bob's Cleaning...But it doesn't end up going how you thought..."

The Nightshift Janitor — Gas Station guide
To start this chapter, you must enter the door with The Nightshift Janitor written on top and then enter a queue once you load Short Horror Games. Once inside, you will watch a cutscene and then end up outside a gas station. The first task is to get all your supplies from the van. You will have access to the following supplies:
- Broom
- Mop
- Cleaning Solution
- Job Info
Next, you have a couple of objectives that you must complete to move forward. We have listed all of them, along with some short notes to help you out.
- First objective - Grab supplies from the van. Walk behind it and press the interact button to grab the supplies.
- Second objective - Explore the gas station. Use the door and check the entire building for spots that need to be cleaned.
- Third objective - Clean the interior part of the gas station. There are 11 spots that require cleaning. Use the Broom, Mop, and Cleaning Solution to remove water, waste, and wall popcorn.
- Fourth objective - Find the bathroom key. You can find it in the storage room above the computer table. Just walk past the cash counter and straight towards the left side to find the table and the bathroom key.
- Fifth objective - Unlock and enter the bathroom. It is located at the end of the product counters. "RESTROOM" is written above the wooden door. Just walk near it and press the interact button to open the door.
- Sixth objective - Clean the bathroom area. Seven spots must be spotless. Wall dirt and graffiti must be removed with the Cleaning Solution, while the Broom must be used to clean dirt.
- Seventh objective - Investigate the sound in the back. You see a storage box on the ground.
- Eighth objective - Put the box back on the metal shelf. Hold the interact button to carry the box. Go near the shelf and do the same to return the box to its original place.
- Ninth objective - Clean the storage area, which has eight dirty spots. After cleaning, the power goes off.
- Tenth objective - Find and fix the electrical box. Walk outside the gas station to find the circuit.
- Eleventh objective - There is a note below the box. Hit the interact button to read it. The note says the following: "You really shouldn't be out this late... People have been going missing lately, you know that right? I think you might be next... So be careful :)"
- Final objective - Enter your work van and leave the place.

Once you are done with the Gas Station, you will head over to the Diner. This place needs to get cleaned, too. Below, we have mentioned all the objectives you must complete.
- First Objective - Grab supplies from the van. Walk behind the van and press the interact button to grab the supplies.
- Second Objective - Explore the Diner. Use the door and check the entire building for spots that need to be cleaned. Then you must open the Job Info to check out the next objective.
- Third Objective - Clean the tables and counters. There are five spots that you must clean.
- Fourth Objective - You must clean the Bathroom next. Head over to the white door inside and start cleaning. Five spots need cleaning.
- Fifth Objective - Once the Bathroom is clean, you must talk to the officer at the main door of the Diner.
- Sixth Objective - You will not have two options — a) Tell the officer the truth or b) Lie to him.
- Seventh Objective - After the officer leaves, you must open the Job Info to get the next objective.
- Eighth Objective - For the next objective, you must head inside the kitchen to clean the "Mystery Meat."
- Ninth Objective - For this objective, you must pick up all the trash bags from around the Diner. There are five bags you must collect.
- Tenth Objective - Once you have all the bags, the next task is to exit the Diner, go behind it, and dump all the bags in the dumpster.
- Eleventh Objective - You must investigate the strange sound at the front of the Diner. You will find a strange creature nearby. DO NOT go near it, as it will kill you immediately.
- Final Objective - Run towards your van and enter it immediately. This will end the Diner act, and a short cutscene will play.

Short Horror Games: The Nightshift Janitor — Trailer guide
Once you watch the cutscene, you will find yourself at the trailer site. The objective is to clean the place since the previous owner died. There are, once again, a couple of tasks you must complete.
- First Objective - Grab supplies from the van. Walk behind the van, and press the interact button to grab the supplies.
- Second Objective - Enter the trailer and look around the place for spots that need cleaning.
- Third Objective - There are six spots inside that you must clean to move ahead.
- Fourth Objective - Next, you will find a strange candle inside the trailer and texts on the walls that say "Grab the candle" and "Go Outside." Press the prompt button and grab the candle.
- Fifth Objective - Exit the trailer and start moving towards the red glowing area. You must place the candle in the marked area near other red candles.
- Sixth Objective - After a brief cutscene, the demon will be summoned, and now you must survive for 45 seconds till the ritual finishes.
- Final Objective - Once the timer is up, the demon will be vanquished. All you have to do now is go to your van and drive away.
