Sprint Icon Usain Bolt returns to competition Thursday, a week after losing to American Justin Gatlin in the 100 metres dash at Rome.

The triple Olympic champion will attempt to return to winning ways when he competes in the 200m at the Oslo Diamond League meet.

Bolt will lead three other Jamaicans into competition- Marvin Anderson, Sherri-Ann Brooks (100m) and Kimberly Williams (triple jump) who have been included on the meet’s provisional list.

He will be running the longer sprint for the first time this season after suffering a slight hamstring injury in late May.

His country man Anderson has a season’s best of 21.04 seconds, the slowest of all competitors in the field, which includes the consistent Churandy Martina and Jaysuma Saidy Ndure who both have sub-20 seconds personal bests.

They are three major absentees in the meet – two-time Olympic 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, 100m World champion Carmelita Jeter and former 100m World champion Veronica-Campbell-Brown.

However, the race features Ivory Coast‘s rising star Murielle Ahoure who last week defeated Olympic and several time World Champion Allyson Felix in the 200m.
