Specifications:
Heel height: 27mm
Toe height: 19mm
Heel-to-toe drop: 8mm
Vazee Prism offers a snug fit and provides minimal support. It is very comfortable right out-of-the-box. A size 9 men’s shoe weighs around 281g. Vazee Prism is a performance shoe that is ideal for road running.
Vazee Prism for men comes in three exciting launch colorways. There is a good mix here. New Balance offers a choice between bright and electric colorways and a classic black/white colorway. New Balance did a fine job with these running shoes. While the women’s version has a lot more choice, you have four colorways here. By and large, design details are analogous in both these running shoes.
Coming to the upper, for increased breathability, New Balance made sure that an open mesh design covers majority of the upper. No-sew upper reduces irritation and helps in holding the foot in place. The heel counter is much more flexible and allows your feet to move much more freely.
The toe-box in the forefoot area mirrors the foot curvature, ultimately offering a much better fit. The comfort levels are great with this running shoe. For better underfoot cushioning, we see a traditional sock-liner with the Vazee Prism. Along with this, we have a full length EVA Strobel board for additional comfort.
In the midsole area, we see New Balance’s revolutionary RevLite foam. We see the same material even in New Balance’s 1500 v2. This groundbreaking compound provides responsive cushioning. Not only that, this material is very light and helps in controlling the total weight of the Vazee Prism. To correct mild over pronation, New Balance introduced a medial post in the midfoot area. Expect a much-improved gait cycle efficiency with this running shoe.
On the outsole, we see blown rubber in the forefoot area for better cushioning. Additionally, the blown rubber is very responsive as well.
Overall, it is a great running shoe. It offers good levels of support along with great cushioning. It is very comfortable and offers great arch support during your runs. The traction levels are great and is very good for road running.
New Balance’s Vazee Prism retails at $100 i.e., around 7,000INR. Availability in India is TBA.
Bottom-line: A perfect partner for your morning jogs.
