Here’s what she has to say about her achievements:

“I have won numerous trophies at the District, State and National level. Skating was my passion since an early age. I don’t dream of Hrithik or Akshay; the only dream I see is of winning Gold medals and achieving the number one podium for myself.

I would like to share one of my experiences which I had at the very first Nationals I represented.

At the National Games at Visakhapatnam, I remember an incident that brought out the sporting spirit in me. I was leading in skating when suddenly another participant brushed past me, pushing me to the floor. By the time I got up, most of the participants were way ahead of me. It was then that the audience, my parents and my coach starting cheering for me and in no time I was past the finish line at the 1st place, overtaking everyone. That was the moment I felt so proud of myself. I felt that I wasn’t like everyone else, and that I had something more inside me, which boosted my confidence. One of the coaches came out and gave me a token of Rs. 100 for my brilliant performance. It truly felt proud of myself that day.”
