3 destructive innings by Sachin Tendulkar you haven't heard about
The top three Sachin innings that you are not aware about, all the three were simply amazing knocks in every cricketing sense!
#1 A 27-ball 72, Christchurch, 2002
72 off 27 balls!
In India's tour of New Zealand 2002, there was a unique concept of a "Super Max International" match which was basically a 10-over game of 2 innings each.
Sachin, in India's first innings, scored a blistering 27-ball 72! What a knock it was! Here's important to note that there was a designated 'Max zone' on the ground behind the bowler, which the batsman could aim for to get the runs counted on that shot doubled. Sachin hit two 8s and one 12-run hit in that area.
Sachin had never played this format before, but the genius that he was, adapted quite brilliantly.
India eventually lost the match by 21 runs after Andre Adams triggered a batting collapse in India's 2nd innings.
Along with Adams, Sachin also scalped 5 wickets across both the innings of the match, and was thus awarded the Man of the Match award.
