5 footballers who should not be sold this summer
The worlds most expensive player could depart the Bernabeu this summerIts that time of year when the rumour mill hits overdrive and theres plenty of speculation about who will be moving where this summer.Whilst theres a whole host of players who would benefit from big summer moves, dozens of others are best suited staying put even if thats only to prove their worth. Here are five candidates we believe should stay at their current clubs for at least one more term:
#1 Paul Pogba (Juventus)
Could Paul Pogba be the first £100 million transfer? That’s the question on everybody’s lips right now and if the speculation is to be believed then that answer might be answered with an emphatic yes this summer.
Whether it’s Spain or England, there is no doubt that Pogba has the potential to become a marquee player. However, at the age of 22, the Frenchman is in no rush to seek a move away from Italy – especially at a club where he is winning domestic trophies for fun whilst also gaining vital Champions League experience.
Juventus’ slim chances of lifting Europe’s elite prize might be enough to tempt him away from Serie A but that might be to the detriment of his continued progressions. However, Pogba couldn’t ask for a better midfield partner than Andrea Pirlo and the Regista’s influence could help him become the greatest midfielder on earth.
Another year in Italy could be key.
