5 footballers who could not live up to their father's legacy

Enzo Fernandez, the son of Zinedine Zidane, quickly splashed into the news section after he was invited by the French football association to practice with the national under-19 squad. Any other ordinary kid wouldn’t have created such a surge on planet football, but Enzo is the child of one of the greatest midfielders of any generation. The type of expectation to prove his worth will be massive, given the fact, how good his father was. We take a look at a few heirs of exceptional football players who couldn’t make a grinding impact on football.Note: The rankings are not in any particular order.

#1 Edinho | Pele

The son of Brazilian legend Pele never made an actual mark while playing football. Unlike his father, he was a goal keeper who could only manage a senior playing career of 10 years because of his numerous legal troubles. As he hardly featured in any professional game in Brazil, it was his involvement in a murder case, for which people around the globe got to know about the son of Pele.

He was appointed goalkeeping coach at Santos in 2007.

His darkest moment came in June 2014 when he was sentenced to prison for 33 years for money laundering raised from drug trafficking.
