5 Legends Seth Rollins should face after Sting

Seth Rollins cutting a promo on Monday Night RawSeth Rollins is on his way to the biggest night of his career as WWE world champion at Night of Champions. John Cena is on deck for the United States Championship and The Icon Sting is ready to win the one belt he’s never had; the company’s top title.Either match would be a main event anywhere in the world, but both on the same night spells history in the making for Seth. Win or lose, he will arguably never be the same again as he should come out of NOC stronger and better for the experience. But Sting may not be the last legend he faces as a win could be just the beginning of veteran challengers to the championship.Technically, retaining the belt would be the only way to assure there would be legends lining up to take a run at Rollins. Seth’s boasting and arrogance are enough to draw the ire of any superstar that has been affected by his words and the best way to shut him up is to take the gold. But a loss could make it happen as well, as Seth would perhaps be on the path to facing a legend that is currently his mentor. It’s an exciting time for the champ right now, but it could get a lot more interesting.

#5 Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins would surely put on a classic on any given day

Chris Jericho made a career out of bragging, showboating and running his mouth. One by one he made fans hate him and love him at the same time. His cockiness was matched only by his ability, which kept him among the elite in the industry and propelled him to the top of WWE. If any of that sounds familiar, it should. Seth Rollins is doing the same thing right now.

This makes Y2J perhaps the perfect opponent for Rollins. Jericho has lived the life Rollins has right now, which means he has already learned from his mistakes and is better because of it. Jericho knows what it’s like to walk the path of the arrogant champion and he did it with such flair that he could shoot Rollins on how to conduct himself now. The fact that he could also take his belt would be an added bonus.

The fact is Jericho’s main event career is over, which means he would likely not become the new WWE world heavyweight champion. His presence in the company again would be only to give the rub off to Rollins, to help him sharpen his image as the best hand on the roster. Y2J is no stranger to giving back, as that has become his role in recent years.

Seth may not need the help that much but for many fans that are unhappy with his title run, a match against Jericho could be exactly what’s needed to up his respect level immensely.
