And to give these masterminds their share of the limelight, there have been many cinematic representations of great sports agents like Entourage, Jerry Maguire, Two For The Money, Any Given Sunday and Million Dollar Arm, to name a few.Incidentally, Pearl Academy will offer students in India the opportunity to take up this desirable, all-important role from next year. Here, we look into the lives of some high-profile sports agents in the world.
#1 Neil Fairbrother
Fairbrother was born in 1963 and started his career as a cricketer. But he had a fairly lacklustre spell in the sport until his retirement in 2002.
Following that, he took up the position of the Director of Cricket at a well-known sports agency, International Sports Management. Through this agency he went on to represent a number of famous clients like Andrew Flintoff, Steve Harmison, Marcus Trescothick and Graham Onions.
With his business acumen and sharp insights, Fairbrother guided his clients to successful playing careers, thus carving a special place for himself in English cricket.
